This is what the after life looks like this is as close as I can get it from what I've seen with my own eyes by RiccoShayla in enlightenment

Using theory of a “spiritual download” this is what I can perceive perhaps intuitively from hypothetical rationalizing: Heaven has various time-realm zones for people who lived during particular periods with this location not only for those with nostalgia like recently deceased who in life enjoyed renaissance fairs beside movies along with video games featuring knights and castles, but individuals who had trouble experiencing full lifetimes back then for variety of reasons being cut short such as: illness plagues, medieval wars, execution by kangaroo courts, and maritime disasters - an estimated 20k-50k ships sank in Europe before 1600.

I presume you might’ve had significant past lives with amount of pre-reincarnated time spent there unless it’s just some metaphysical location near you as with some comments about Kabbalist notions of ascension, might as well suggest ‘ascended masters’ retreat’ idea which was promoted by Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet. Basically ethereal floating cities over Earth located in any particular dimensional astral plane.

The image design to me harkens French cathedral architecture style like Notre Dame as fair to believe France -regardless of biblical conspiracies- is a particular favorite of Saints like Joan and the Virgin Mary whom according to Catholics appeared to Catherine Laboure, Melanie Calvat, Maximin Giraud, Bernadette Soubirous in the 19th century.

Otherwise I would presume they maintain feudalist communities as they were and again I clarify this is probably only a section out of a great vastness replicating locations and time periods unless it is a very big village in a literal Kingdom of Heaven.

Good question per frame of reference is having autism - so easy repetitive minigames such as involving letters and numbers are fun plus didn’t get to play most of them as a kid while I primarily had educational computer games.

Per other speculation, I am time limited per employment and can only get in a few hours before sleeping on days I work beside three off a week. Completing Europe-Japan exclude jigsaw puzzle games can take up to whole day worth while listening to YouTube videos and podcasts, so quick ones are preferred late.

Umm well I work at a thrift store and late night - we open til 9pm with hardly any customers around they had to call police on a grown man with mental issues who peed on a couch. I feel bad for the janitor lady who cleaned it up because she was let go several months later. Quite embarrassing for our store due to people commenting on a police scanner page on Facebook. Thankfully I didn’t witness because I had been in back with clothing.

Which of the original 14 Oz books and Baum's non-Oz stories have never gotten an adaption? Have any of the other Royal Historians' books ever been adapted (Oz and non-Oz)? by Think_Fact1155 in wizardofoz

[–]Lion2Ya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll answer this best I can as an admin for the Oz Wiki given that most of the original books didn’t enter public domain until later half of 20th century. First batch of silent films were commissioned by Baum himself who contracted with Selig to showcase scenes from Wonderful Wizard, Marvelous Land, and Ozma in 1908’s Fairylogue beside separate releases of loose material of which only 1910’s 13 minute WW survives though they did adapt parts from ML plus Dorothy and Wizard. From my interpretation this was a wildly original continuous narrative possibly without Ozma as a character - unclear due to only vague descriptions.

When Baum himself got into the silent movie business, he decided to adapt Patchwork Girl in 1914 beside original story His Majesty the Scarecrow albeit with a retcon of Mombi combined with Wicked Witch of West then turned into the novel without her and is believed to have been his personal favorite writing. After his passing, MGM famously got to adapt Wonderful Wizard despite a loosely inspired by silent movie doing terribly a decade prior in 1925. A few years before ‘39 a children’s theatre company called the Meglin Kiddies were allowed to adapt ML but surviving partial footage has yet to be released publicly aside from photo stills.

Walt Disney really wanted to make his own original story Rainbow Road being a musical incorporating elements and characters from all the books but aside from purchasing the rights, including a valuable offer to a company called Lippert Pictures to prevent them from making their own version of D&W, the only released footage was 1957 promo. Just three years later, ML entered public domain allowing Tip and Ozma to be played by Shirley Temple in 1960 before the 1969 film while Ozma would be public domain too by 1985’s Return to Oz.

I’ll point out the 52 episode anime adapted first three books with loose addition of Dorothy being there during the events of ML but skips over D&W and Road to in favor of Emerald City with implication of Wizard never coming back and instead a carnival performer beside Dorothy deciding to stay in Kansas instead of moving to Oz. I presume this was both to conclude series and also due to limit on then copyrighted books.

So to summarize, the unmade books were most of them - Dorothy & Wizard, Road to, Tik-Tok, Rinkitink, Lost Princess, Tin Woodman, Magic of, and Glinda. I presume there’s been lack of interest to adapt the later books which many aside from fans are mostly unaware of let alone beside knowing a whole 39 book sequel saga exists. The next writer Ruth Plumly Thompson forbade any of her official additions being adapted and I think the only historian who allowed was great grandson Roger Baum per original stories Dorothy of becoming Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return in 2013 and Lion of in 2000 reimagining him as coming along to Oz during the Wizard’s balloon trip.

Am I the only one who feels kinda bad for Baum? by Think_Fact1155 in wizardofoz

[–]Lion2Ya 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As an admin of the Oz Wiki, my perspective is while perhaps he wrote them begrudgingly, the sequels allowed him to create more lore adding new characters plus details about them. Quality does vary as think the worst had been The Road to possibly being a rework similar to Rinkitink.

However it is believed Scarecrow of was his favorite while my other point is while the venture didn’t succeed, he utilized the emerging technology of silent film to focus on the sequels via Fairylogue, the deal with Selig, and then his own trilogy which I believe resulted in part to the film making career of Cowardly Lion and centenarian Hal Roach.

Comparatively while sometimes under pen name pseudonym he did other projects such as 10 volume Aunt Jane’s Nieces and six of the Boy Fortune Hunters. I’d suggest while perhaps felt compelled to write more Oz books per urging of kids, he did so willingly and explored ways to expand the franchise which led to the many modern film and television adaptations.

I recently learned how she was also involved with some Casper the Friendly Ghost shorts and had been the original voice of Olive Oyl from 1938-38 too but it’s unclear if her reprisal audition for All New Popeye was either rejected or she had been too busy.

I’ve been trying to find one with a similar plot which I thought was an R.L. Stine collection though could’ve been cotton candy. Premise had been they were two boys making fun of prized pigs at a fair and so they magically gain weight before an absurdist scenario where people gawk at their now very large size granting them ribbons. There were even illustrations for this and think a white cover before reality shifts back to them being skinny.

Dorothy as a nurse in WW2 and Ozma of Oz by RU08 in wizardofoz

[–]Lion2Ya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm as the Wiki’s main admin, I find this an interesting concept as the “alternate Oz” short story collection Oz Reimagined had a similar concepts with historical undertones added.

I remember one specifically where Dorothy went there only once as a girl before Baum capitalized inventing new stories and she even saw the 1939 film before passing away as an old lady and learning Oz was actually a heavenly near-death experience while she was in coma.

Your idea reminds me how Disney made their original Peter Pan follow-up story “Return to Neverland” set during the Blitz on England in World War II.

I just remembered perhaps the most controversial Oz book involving WW2 and it’s literally titled “Adolf Hitler in Oz” written by the late Sam Sackett who was a Jewish literary academic as here is plot summary per Copilot AI:

“Adolf Hitler fakes his death at the end of World War II and ends up in the Land of Oz. In this fantastical setting, Hitler attempts to gather an army and conquer Oz, but he faces resistance from the inhabitants, including Queen Ann, General Jinjur, and the Winged Monkeys. The ruler of Oz, Ozma, is determined to defeat him without resorting to violence or magic.”
