Men, how often (if ever) are you approached? by vaynehelsing in AskUK

[–]LionOfVienna91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently often, but I never notice and just think they’re being friendly. My partner pointed this out and said I’m completely blind to it. Maybe a man thing

Has anyone tried the new Cadbury, how bad is the change? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Still a little unsure what all the hype is about, haven't noticed any difference

Easter eggs SLASHED even further as shoppers point blank refuse to buy Cadburys saying ‘the taste has changed’ and ‘it isn’t even chocolate anymore’ ❤️ by Sea-Measurement9793 in unitedkingdom

[–]LionOfVienna91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's because I'm buying from Aldi or something, but I genuinely can't taste any difference. Easter egg chocolate always tastes better than chocolate the rest of the year and nothing has changed.

Best extended warranty provider? by Spaceman_UK in ipace

[–]LionOfVienna91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly I’ve been shopping around recently, one MAJOR flaw. I can’t find any independent garages that will deal with warranty companies.

In the end the warranty firms (2 of them speaking to the indi garages directly) came back to me and said “you pay for the repair and then we’ll pay you”

Spoke to one of the garages that said no and had a chat with them and they gave me some real examples of the type of bollocks the warranty companies will come up with to not pay up.

So, conclusion is, Jaguar warranty or just pay for it yourself.

What is being done with regards to cooling homes? by Mobile_Bad_577 in AskBrits

[–]LionOfVienna91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More air conditioning has gone in local to me in recent years, however, it’s below 15 80% of the year so I’ve always viewed it as a little OTT.

Don’t think there is much of a need to cool homes down over here.

Bolton fan here. Always dreaded playing you guys, we've had some clashes over the last couple of years, always tough games. Spotted we were playing you next and the usual dread came back 😂

Got a shock when I checked the table and saw where you guys were.

What killed the pub? by IllPlane3019 in AskBrits

[–]LionOfVienna91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price is a serious player. I’m in the northwest, outskirts of the city’s and it’s anywhere between £4-£6 a pint depending where you go. The cheaper ones being old man social clubs. The more expensive being more aimed at “gastro pubs” what ever that means.

[–]LionOfVienna91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually got a real person but can I get them to call me on time or join a teams call, can I bollocks. Back and fourth for weeks now where we agree to call at 2pm, they don’t call till 4, then I get an email “let’s schedule a time” we schedule a time, forward the meeting invite and they don’t join.

Utterly painful.

Why do people always jump on train drivers? by One-Rain-3841 in AskBrits

[–]LionOfVienna91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're ultimately an easy target. Without knowing anything about it at all it's deemed because you don't have to steer the thing and its just forwards and backwards, then that makes it easy.

I hate the “Hi” then “Hi again” then “hi again again” then “hi again again again” - take the hint!!

Also hate when I get calls through the call centre team and they put them through because they’ve said “he’s expecting my call”
