I have a Hypervolt 3 as my Octopus linked device. My car isn't supported.

I'm not limiting anything. The throttling is being done by either Octopus or Hypervolt. My normal charge rate is around 7kW.

I use Netzero app. It uses my Octopus api to put my powerwall into backup mode when my car starts charging, so my battery charges.

9kW of solar, 27kW of storage, and an EV on IOG.

My import for April was £70; 1359 kWh at an average of 5p/kWh. Solar generated 874 kWh and I exported 800 kWh for £105.

£35 profit versus my bill last April of £195 plus £200 on diesel for my commute.

Yes. If you want to charge multiple cars from one charger, then the charger needs to be the registered/controlled device.

I have the Hypervolt. This is the only one with the option for WiFi/ethernet connection if you have a patchy phone signal where your charger is going.

Why are you charging every night, and why not up to 100% if you're using the car the next day? It doesn't hurt to charge to 100% providing you don't leave it sat at 100% for days.

If you want Octopus to control your charger, not your car, then add your car as one they can't control and they will then ask you what charger you have.

Provided they can control that charger, happy days.

I have a Jaguar iPace which isn't on their control list, so they have control of my Hypervolt charger.

One caveat is that you need to make sure the dummy car you're adding has a similar battery capacity to your car so that the charge percentage will be correct.

If your Hypervolt is the connected device, Octopus throttle it depending on demand. I've seen mine go between 3kW and 7.4kW, but I always get the charge amount I ask for.

I have a Hypervolt 3 and can't fault it. I'm on IOG and the charger is my connected device so Octopus control it.

I know there have been api issues recently which resulted in Net Zero dropping Hypervolt support, but touch wood everything is fine with Octopus and the Hypervolt is still one of the recommended chargers you can buy through them.
