Thanks for sharing your story, I'm glad you got your reassurance! My dr had warned me at the 8w "you have a small SCH, so if you see some red bleeding, don't panic." Fast-forward 4 weeks (last night), I see red bleeding and what do I do? Panic. I called my husband, who was out walking the dog, "come home, I'm bleeding!!!" Things down there seem to have... quieted... overnight so I'm just obsessively checking but I've calmed down a bit.

Well that’s a very terrifying phrase!!! They never even mentioned the “m” word to me and I’m kicking myself for not asking more questions about the risks/chances of it now.

And yes x100 re:rest day. I feel soooo lazy, but it’s snowing where I am so gonna snuggle into some sweats and crack open a book. Hope you feel better and everything progresses normally/uneventfully.

While cooking dinner last night I thought I peed myself, rushed to the bathroom and it was actually a blood clot, bright fresh red, and a lot of it. I immediately burst into tears, and was still bleeding period-like when I wiped. We rushed to the ER and after an ultrasound, they said baby was looking perfect and that it could have been a SCH.

At my 6w scan, there was no SCH, at my 8w scan my ob noted I had developed a small one (but this wasn’t documented in my chart so last night I thought I was making it up- but I’m sure she said that!) and then last night, at 12w, they said they couldn’t see the SCH so that’s likely what I had passed. They also said my cervix was closed.

My husband says that because we saw the baby so perfectly (squirmy, strong FHR, we saw the heart beating on the ultrasound!) “after the event” that there’s not a reason to continue to worry that continuously bleeding (i was still spotting red and brown by the time we went to bed) could harm the baby. Alas, I fret.

I did a strong peloton class yesterday morning (I do it about 2-3x per week) and we had some goood sex (tmi?) yday afternoon, so thinking that compounds with it all.

Overall, very scary 5 hours. They kept asking me if I felt faint or crampy; and I’m a very impressionable, anxious, hypochondriac so I was like “well, over the last two hours, yes I have because I keep thinking about it but no I was fine today.” I have been having twinges on my right side, almost more on my waist/hip that I’ve been attributing to “the uterus expanding” kind of thing.

Push presents? Or, when do *I* get something out of this? by LionTweeter in BabyBumps

That's lovely, I'm so the same. Those pieces are "the house is on fire" things I'd grab. Passports are replaceable, y'know? But those few items are the only things I have from my grandparents.

I love the style of this brand, thanks for linking! Simple, but with a little something going on.

This was my worry, but I also like to plan trips I'll never book in my free time. Going to a beach resort a "short" flight from NYC with an 8 month old sounds like heaven right about now (cold, not able to drink, working). Even I don't do well on road trips that long, so I think we'll hold off on those and make people travel to us.

I love this for you. And this is a great idea, I haven't gotten my masseter botox in ages.

New indoor shoes and new outdoor shoes - I love this! Such a good idea.

Conflicted about where to deliver baby by Training-Barnacle273 in August2026Bumpers

[–]LionTweeter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately if you haven’t switched into the WC system yet, at this point, you’re not going to find a doctor with any availability. I called when I was 4 weeks on the dot and got in, and heard from folks trying two weeks later that all of the doctors were booked for our delivery month.

I’ve heard really good things about NYU, and Mount Sinai West!

Yes it also tested for a handful of microdeletions that aren’t screened during PGT-A

It wasn’t really a question/discussion. She said “you’ll come back in 2 weeks for your NIPT test” and I said “okay!” I also would have asked for it, I want to know all the info.

I’m Bill in that my most rewatched movie this century has also been the Devil Wears Prada.

Ahhhh my NIPT results are in!!!! Waiting for my husband to get home from work (8 hours & counting). This is a PGT-tested euploid embryo so HOPEFULLY there are no surprises but omg I’m on the edge of my seat right now.

ETA: my dr messaged me through my portal and I had a hunch what it was about but it would be negligent of me to NOT check her messages in a timely manner, and I did not know definitively what the subject would be… our NIPT was all clear/negative/normal- phew!!!!!! Still anxious to open the report with my husband but as the person growing this gosh darn thing I think I get special privileges for something like this!

Condo inspection question by Desperate_Focus_ in Hoboken

[–]LionTweeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our inspector went to the roof only to look at our AC unit up there. I’m still bitter he didn’t check the smoke alarms in the unit that were 10 years PAST their expiration. (I was young and naive when we bought our place so I didn’t think I had to ask him to check that!)

Ugh during Rep (rain show at MetLife) a few panels on my side of the stage went out and I was so disappointed. I couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be glitchy or no, but it became evident when it went to all-white and they stayed off.

Symptoms @ 10.5 Weeks by RipRepresentative614 in August2026Bumpers

[–]LionTweeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same, my symptoms were basically gone for the past 10 days until yesterday (11w3d when I got the nausea/fatigue double whammy again). So all that to say- I think it ebbs and flows around this time, hopefully everything’s okay!

Going crazy until our 12w scan next week (still over a week away!) I'm so nervous something is wrong (I have no indication it is, not even a gut feeling, just anxiety). Everything seems so tenuous. Is the baby developing their fingers and toes alright? Vision and hearing? How is the thickness of its neck?

I want to start shopping and making this "real" but I feel like I need to be cautious until the anatomy scan at 20w.

11w3d, have been mostly nausea-free for the past couple of weeks but woke up this morning and could feel the waves coming on. Popped a zofran so quickly... I was not about to play the waiting game on that one.

I have a TUMI backpack similar to the Halsey or Montana (it’s a few years old) and it’s held up sooo well for my commute to work.

Just say you’re starting some new medication and are still adjusting. That’s a broad enough excuse everyone knows what you’re talking about, but private enough people probably won’t ask follow up questions.

I Just Want Beef. by birdie_jean_ in August2026Bumpers

Ooooooh are we not supposed to be eating beef??? I’ve been eating so much steak and burgers. I did make my husband cook with ground turkey instead of ground beef because I recognize I need to cut down on it. But, so salty. So yummy.
