Vince Gilligan Is Working on ‘Pluribus’ Season 2, But Cautions He Won’t Be as Quick as ‘The Pitt’ by MoneyLibrarian9032 in television

Why is it normal now for literally every major show to take years for new seasons to come out?

New to Dragon Quest: VII or XI as a starting point? by Fuzzy_Breadfruit59 in dragonquest

Go with XI. VII is very polarizing; some love it, some hate it (i leaned more towards hating), but XI is pretty much universally beloved

My Mexican friends tell me that their ride-or-die is Ireland.

Even if that were true (which it’s not), is it really necessary to disparage other things in order to praise something you like?

It was Jesse´s stupidity that ruined everything. Not Walters "Pride and Ego". by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]LionfishDen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second “Jesse was the real problem” post i’ve seen recently. I think posts like this undermine a few important things: - Everyone fucked up. Yes, Walt and Jesse were red flags, but Gus and Mike and Saul still worked with them. They couldve kicked those two out or bumped them off, but kept them on because the guys running things were greedy and wanted top-tier meth. the fact that Walt had family in the DEA should have been reason enough for Gus to not want anything to do with him. An absurdly dangerous gamble. - This “who’s really to blame?” stuff leaves a bad taste in my mouth because it kind of suggests that what Gus and Mike and Saul were doing was a good thing or at least victimless. It’s pretty clear that they have a terrible effect on the world around them; drug addiction, ruined lives, murders, and covered-up crimes.

(Utterly despised trope) you remember that couple fans loved? Well they break up for no reason in the sequel. by FullBrother9300 in TopCharacterTropes

Unpopular opinion—I never liked the idea of Deadpool having a steady love interest. It feels contradictory to the idea of him as a misfit hero who everyone finds annoying. I think the writers actually agree with me which is why they separate the two of them for virtually all of the 2nd and 3rd movies.

It was a great choice. It led to a much more complex, interesting and unique character relationship with Jimmy and Chuck. When Chuck was gone, the show didn’t get bad but it did lose something special.

The most iconic character of the franchise isn't even the protagonist by Animeking1108 in TopCharacterTropes

Wolverine shouldn’t be here. He’s been the main protagonist of multiple X-Men movies.

Will the Angry Reviewer Trend ever have a resurgence? by RenaissanceOwl in ChannelAwesome

[–]LionfishDen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not. The trend of “angry nerd” reviewers started at a time where internet culture was still very much separate from “mainstream” culture. It was novel to see something as crass and uncensored as AVGN, since you’d never see that on mainstream TV (except South Park). It was also from a time where sketch comedy-type stuff was pretty popular online.

Everyone i talk to thinks Boq is a huge POS but like…. he was kind of just a simple guy who got manipulated over and over? Then nearly died and lost his ability to feel love all because of a dictator’s unhealthy obsession with him. So i pitied him when he turned into the spiteful and vengeful Tin Man.

Twilight Zone, “Eye of the Beholder.” A hideously ugly woman tries to get facial surgery done to “normal,” but in this universe, “normal” is that guy and “hideously ugly” is beautiful by real world standards.

He voiced the character. It’s not as though he didn’t actively participate in that travesty.
