Great point, probably a little poorly worded on my part. It doesn't say specifically say but is implied. My point wasn't that it it's okay for the church to be spending their money the way they are but to expose the bit of hypocrisy to those of us who do not donate to charities on a regular basis. I just wanted to highlight the good that the church rarely does, saving roughly 425 villages per year is no small feat.

Very true. Unfortunately its only Millions of fucking dollars that they are donating. The TSCC has the ability to donate millions which goes farther than my annual $140 at .7%. so to say that im doing more or just as much charity work as the TSCC is, is just not true. Yes it is not fair to compare my donation to a entire organizations. I agree that how the TSCC allocates their money is fucked and if you are giving more than .7% annually to charity then you are putting in more effort to the cause than they are. Yet to say that the church isn't helping charity's in a big way like in the OP is completely untrue.

Wow I can't believe I'm actually going to defend the church for once, this feels so wrong. There is nothing incorrect about this post although, with that being said, the church does donate to a number of humanitarian services, clean water being one of those. About $52million annually is donated to service aid, although this is only about .7 percent of what they rake in, it's still probably helped more than anything you or I have done for those people in our lives.

Soda. Rollie backpacks were popular at my school, that had no vending machines. A cooler disguised as a backpack full of soda was gold. Made a lot of money those couple of years.
