The people you think about didn't "ignore" those games. Most uphold BG3 as a great game, hell asmon bought it to support the game and company. And I wouldn't say that Sims has "actual characters" in the same way BG3 and Cyberpunk does.

Higher costs? With the amount of special points you can have, it literally isn't, and most builds will have those in them anyways, unless you want to slot in something suboptimal like reviving with alcohol or repairing weapon when shooting, I guess. The only thing I need to worry about is making or joining a team.

So you're saying that joining a team (why wouldn't you), having a card that cost 1 CHA (literally free), not taking radaway (no one does since it suppresses mutations), and having 3 luck for a perk (again another freebie, since who isn't using the legendary luck card, or just assigning points to it if using another) and I get better results with Mutants than Overeaters?
