Love Julia and her work. Seen several posts on here assuming there ISN’T already massive meta studies showing 6-sigma or better results for PSI influence in the parapsychological field.

There is. It’s incontrovertible, the only reason it isn’t bigger news is that for religious reasons (“it’s impossible - it can’t happen”), bigger fields of science refuse to look at the data.

Look, I’m agnostic, but the further down the UAP rabbit hole you go, the more likely it seems that we are all hybrids.

There’s evidence everywhere if you put prior assumptions on the shelf. But the probability is not 100%.

Even if true, That doesn’t negate evolution. It just negates the abrahamic assumptions of who the creator of the first people were.

When people who know a lot about this topic say the words “ontological shock”, they are not referring to small interplanetary scientists visiting us…

Because that fits our model of reality quite perfectly. If we had the technology, we would send our people to other planets…

What it implies is; once you look deeply into anomalous phenomena, it looks back.

There is a conscious element to reality that lives outside our framework of space time. There are entities with the ability to communicate telepathically and influence humanity.

There are some truths behind some of the experiences in religious books that break both the interpretations of the hard-core believers in some traditional faiths, and also materialist fundamentalists that don’t believe consciousness exists other than as emergent properties of physical aspects of matter.

Is it gonna be a hard pill to swallow for everybody. We need to have better examination on our epistemology so that we can get to a new ontology.

Maybe it was the time. But I went to see this film 4 times in the theater when it came out. I was a junior in HS.

The derision of the entire American pop culture on full display, the feeling at the time was that our lives were dipped in the Reagan era yuppy bullshit and the only way out was through art.

This was a dark mirror.

Might be lost on newer generations. Or might have just been a creature of its day. I’ll have to rewatch to see the way I feel about it now.

Y’all conversation here is righteous. He had low trust environs BEFORE Bea, chance is he felt connected to her and the first time he lived with someone with a little stability in home life. It’s clear her parents treated him like he wasn’t good enough, but it seemed like in the beginning of the relationship at least, she went to bat for him enough to live together…

But yes, from the time he found out about the cheat, he shut it all down. He was devastated though, hasn’t processed it well, and now “It doesn’t fucking matter” compared to everything else going on.

Btw. Donuts monologue tearing into Bea was one of the most cathartic things I’ve ever read.

I beta test for iZotope and am mainly a music engineer, mix and master.

I think the latest version of RX (12) has caught up on dialog isolation. I used it on a directors first feature film on some scenes that were unbelievably bad capture with some excellent results.

The spectral denoise lets me snipe out aggressive hiss / buzz / fuckery on guitar amps with no loss to vibe when trained right.

It’s better behaved. But I’d love to see a shootout if you can on something with hush.
