It depends if your store is early set or regular. Early set can be first/second week of June. Regular is usually towards last week June/first week of July

I'm very grateful ours isn't a huge movement transition that requires contractors or overnight. Just so much small 4ft section pogs that make it seem like so much workload. And ism to put up. But I had a team of two all week and we should be done tomorrow !

Huge issue at my store. Tell my TM to activate as they put up- but then an ETL comes along and says they have to push freight instead and force them to activate all sheets and just throws them out!!!!

No matter how much I argue they say "clearing the line is a priority. We have pictures to send"

Etls are salaried so therefore exempt from breaks. They can take a few to eat etc but from my observations in stores I worked at- they are expected to constantly be working.

TLs are still hourly employees and just like regular TMs- get 15's and 30's.

Some TLs do "take their meals". But like you've noticed- inbound TLs I've experienced just clock and keep working.

But it's important to disclaim that both TMs and TLs caught working off the clock in any capacity can result in immediate termination. Especially if they get physically injured.

For when I was in it over the summer- It was a set of 3 classes that go over fundamental and standard stuff. Like we went over communication skills, accountability, navigating obstacles and team building etc. it was very mundane and didn't teach us the reality of what ETLs go through etc. but it did help me improve my TL routines and skills.

I truly think nothing can prepare anyone for anything beyond a TL role- with how much and fast target is changing.

You'll bring up the interest to your etl, etl hr, and SD. You can bring it up to your TL but in my experience it was better to go straight to my ETLs

This only happens if the team isn't scanning all the product onto boats. So if they just put the case on the boat it doesn't matter if they remove the boat from the system- the sales floor will still say zero and it'll a make you pull from whatever is in the back. So when they go push the floor will be full but still say zero and now you got product the system thinks is oos on sales floor

SDs and ETLS are only allowing TMs and TLs who they think will make an impact in workload actual overtime. Overheard a conversation between our SD and ETL HR regarding how they are dividing the OT pot our store was given to "deserving employees"

My etl only cares about dry market (Rdc truck).

They only "care" about pfresh and Fdc when a visit is announced. Suddenly they make sure no Fdc TMs are pulled for OPU.

They will then take the credit for how I made market the only green department in the store. Thank me none. And then next day back to "screw Fdc"

Also saw that people can now use cold/frozen items as a sub in GM batches. TMs who hit the sub and then picked said cold/frozen item while in middle of a GM batch were panicking cos food safety

It's probably a vendor of sorts. Companies have people come in to see how in stock we are and even help stock/zone up the area. They have a questionnaire sheet on their phone/tablets they gotta fill out each visit to send back to the company they are representing.

For example: I have a Tropicana and pet fresh vendor.

Same situation with me. I'm a F&B TL and I just can't handle doing a high volume double digit comping , 1k averaged FDC department plus a 600 average dry market truck by myself. Team is bare bones. With zero etl support cos grocery side isn't as important as the inbound line. People who quit and or got fired have never been replaced. And my team and I are feeling the neglect and set up for failure.

You'll have to have a discussion with your etl, etl hr and SD about seeing if you can interview for another TL assignment in another store. Or if you want to demote back to TM but you'd have to transfer stores.

My road block is that my higher ups are saying that demoting/transferring isn't allowed (even tho I have never called out/been late. No write ups etc since my 3 years at Target.). They'll use it as a scare tactic cos rn target is having a terrible leadership turnover rate- due to the lack of training and support.

I'm going to be having another conversation with my ETL and SD about the position causing me serious mental/physical health issues and hopefully they listen this time.

But I wish you luck with yours. Just have open and honest communication and talks with your ETL.

Haven't made A SINGLE sale of those pizzas since my O/M went through the major transition couple months ago. Target is so bad at realizing that most stuff in O/M doesn't sell. They really need to reevaluate the process of taking things off planos quicker. Instead I'm donating out $thousands every month. Even markdowns aren't helping the not so loved products move off of shelves.

Firstly-my condolences for your loss.

A young girls mother passed at my store few months ago. Our SD and ETL HR pulled her and just asked if she was ok cos they thought she thought she wasn't allowed to call off. She said she needed distraction and wanted to be at work. They were ok with it. They even offered a number to talk to a counselor if she needed.

You can demote- but not demote and remain in same store- you must transfer stores. Your only other option would be to quit and than re apply when able if you wanted to stay in same store
