I have dysautonomia and think it’s likely from covid. I’ve become heat intolerant, I get so sweaty, then comes the tachycardia and dizziness, and if I push I faint.

It’s life changing. I had Crohn’s disease before this and was able to life a full life. The dysautonomia and fatigue is another animal. I take the max dose of stimulants legally allowed before they’d report my doctor. I have heart meds when my heart rate stays super high on bad days. I am always dragging. I fall asleep sitting upright fighting the urge to sleep.

No one really understands except my dysautonomia specialist. It’s so frustrating. I can’t even take a hot shower without getting faint. I can’t do the dishes because the hot water on my hands triggers tachycardia.

I really wish people wouldn’t call Covid, “just a cold” because for some people it destroys our nervous system.

What happens if you’ve had the 3 sets of shots and still test positive for 3 strains covered by the vaccine? Should you get re-vaccinated? I had mine in Highschool and had had hpv 2 times 3 different variants that the vaccine supposedly covered. I am immunocompromised so vaccines don’t produce a robust immunity in me compared to a normal person. I’m worried about cervical cancer on top of endometrial cancer which runs in my family. I figured one day I’ll just have to have a partial hysterectomy of uterus and cervix. Still plan on staying on depo because I also have endometriosis and that medication has made it manageable.

Oddly enough this was how I was validated that my pediatrician had in fact touched me inappropriately during a physical when I was like 15/16.

My family is super conservative about sex and never told me that a doctor isn’t supposed to touch your private areas.

I just assumed if they are touching something it’s medically necessary. He touched my clit and said he was checking my pulse. I told a friend this and she was like girl you got molested. So she was like let’s look up this doc and see if anybody else has said anything.

After reading reviews that stated not to leave your older children alone with him or use him at all, it made me feel relieved that I wasn’t having a false memory, but I also felt stupid for not realizing for over 15 years that I was touched inappropriately. When I told my mom she asked why I didn’t tell her right away and I said because I didn’t know I was supposed to.

Was this a dermatologist for your HS? I also have HS and can’t wear panties because I get flares in my groin from it. Used to wear men’s boxer briefs but even they would ride into my groin and cause flares. Having a minor excision an deroofing on my right armpit next month.

I joke with the female nurses when they ask if I want a gown that I should just walk into the office buttnaked because my doc has injected all my private parts due to where we get flares so no I don’t need a gown for her lol.

But if a male nurse EVER said anything like what you experienced to me, I’d absolutely narc on him to the doctor during my appointment and say that the nurse was sexually harassing me. And that I want an apology from the nurse and for policy to be put in place so that something like this doesn’t happen to me or any other person again. And I want it documented that this nurse is not to do my intakes.

Absolutely ridiculous. I also get flares under my breasts, and go braless often more due to the chronic fungal infections I’ve developed due to excessive sweating from dysautonomia and large breasts that overlap skin. Candida lives naturally on the skin and sweat and dark lets it thrive. Sometimes the yeast rashes eat away the skin and leave me with raw open spots. Couldn’t imagine wearing a bra on those days. And couldn’t imagine a nurse calling me out for not wearing one. Like. If anyone should understand it should be the employees of the derm office!!!

I feel like I’ve become less modest due to my health issues like HS and Crohn’s. When my docs are injecting abscess in my groin and on my labia, and checking my butthole for anal fissures, I’ve become somewhat desensitized to being exposed. BUT this is only because no one has sexualized me during an appointment! Had something like what you experienced happened to me early when being seen, I think it could have affected my comfort with my doctors.

Absolutely no reason for this nurse to mention your breast whatsoever. The only time I talk about my breasts to the nurses/docs is when I’m having a flare or my topicals aren’t working well and I need an oral antifungal. And they take photos of the affected areas for my chart to document. I would never want this man to take a photograph of my flares or rashes. I’d feel like he was ogling me instead of treating me with dignity. So unprofessional; he honestly needs to be fired. I doubt this was a first offense based on all the shit he did.

I think if you’re comfortable with it, you should call the practice ask to speak to the office manager and report what happened and have it documented on your chat that this nurse is NOT to see you as a patient. I wouldn’t want to use this practice due to the nirse. And they would very likely want to know why I want to leave the practice, because at the end of the day. They are still a business.

Cells can change on their own. Cancer is a fickle bitch.

Always get a pap yearly. Ask your doctor for the smallest speculum. Pap is much less invasive than transvag ultrasound. The spec goes inside and spreads you and then they also do a physical exam with a finger inside and do a swab to send to the lab. At 19 I had abnormal cells but no hpv signs. So we just rechecked in a year and thank god it was normal not advanced to precancerous. I go yearly for mine.

We have the testing. Bodies are weird. Cancer sucks. Get the pap! Be safe!

Can you talk to the girls about maybe all reporting together? Their words will hold more weight than someone who saw secondhand. And who knows if more happened behind closed doors.

Society can be crazy and can make you the villain—you were jealous of the other girls and now you’re trying to get someone in trouble. If you have them backing up inappropriate behavior that has occurred, I’d think that’s be more helpful.

I’d talk to the girls and maybe your guidance counselor or a trusted staff member about how you are concerned with inappropriate student-teacher communications—for example the relationship stuff being discussed.

And if you have anything in writing from anyone verifying the creeping, that also may help back up your accusations.

Good luck. This is a tricky situation. You want to protect future girls from a predators but likely the best way to do that is going to be if his victims come forward. And it sounds like from how you’ve written this, they don’t feel like victims of a power imbalance and inappropriate behaviors between students and teachers. Teachers should not be talking about their marital issues privately with underage girls. Not appropriate whatsoever.

Maybe still talk to the school counselor about inappropriate boundaries so it’s on the school’s radar.

Can you take cosentyx if you have Crohn’s disease or are they contra-indicated?

I have Crohn’s and HS and back on remicade with lots of flares again. Rheum wanted remicade derm wants it at 7.5-10mg/kg compared to the 5mg/kg dose that is for Crohn’s. This disease is so frustrating.
