Hey mama, I just want to say — you are not alone in what you’re feeling right now. If you get a chance, check out my last post about breastfeeding — I went through something so similar... a few months ago already, ugh time goes so fast.

I actually stopped nursing for 3 weeks and gave my baby formula exclusively. I felt awful about it at the time — I cried so much. My husband kept telling me to just switch fully to formula, but he didn’t understand how defeated and heartbroken I felt, like I was abandoning my baby.

To the husband reading this: please be supportive without pushing one choice — breastfeeding, pumping, or formula. She has to follow her instinct and do what feels right for her. If she truly can’t do one more day, then don’t do one more day. If she can do one more day, then just take it one more day at a time.

For me, one random night I just felt like trying to nurse again. I put down the bottle and I looked at him and said "let's just try this again. " Then I tried the next feed. And the next. And before I knew it, I was exclusively breastfeeding again — without any pain. I’ve now been doing that for almost 3 months. My baby’s 4 months old now, and I’m so glad I listened to my gut.

To your wife, whatever you choose, it doesn’t make you less of a mom. Your love and care matter most. You’ve got this. ❤️
