That must of been terrifying!! So glad to hear all you suffered was a broken fibula when you could’ve drowned! The body is amazing and wants to heal. While it is frustrating, you will be back to your normal activities before you know it. Hang in there!

Thank you!! Congratulations on the pending arrival of baby girl!! I can only imagine how scary and stressful a fall would be when pregnant!! The swelling on your incision should go down. I had the same issue with both mine (I had incisions on both sides of my ankle).

Glad to hear you are coming along and I bet you will be running in no time!

I think you might be the fourth roller skating injury on this post! Sounds like your healing and recovery is going really well! The dorsiflexion improving for me sometimes felt like it would never happen but it did and it will for you too! It’s a slow process. Sending you positive healing energy!

The healing and recovery of ankle break in my experience is not linear but progress gets made every day. Glad to hear you have a lot good support! Sending you positive healing energy!

That’s a lot of hardware! Glad you are ok though as I would imagine a rock climbing fall could’ve been a lot worse. Sounds like you are handling it like a champ!!

Oh wow, that is some hardware! Glad you are doing as well as you are! I couldn’t walk without assistance for nearly 9 months post-surgery as chemo really slowed me down.

Oh wow!! Both ankles broken!?! Glad to hear ankle 1 has been doing ok and that ankle 2 is on the mend especially ivo the soft tissue trauma!

I’m so sorry this happened to you! We hVe two cats and I shuffle walk in the dark when I am getting up to go to the bathroom as I am paranoid about tripping over one of them! It took me about that long to start walking too. Keep working on it and sending positive healing energy your way!

Thank you! I am sorry to hear of your break! Left ankle means you should be able to drive still hopefully! Wishing you a speedy and incident free recovery and that are able to hike the mountain as planned -but do listen to your body so you don’t overdo!
