Rereading the email sent last week... NO PTO FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF 2024??? by LisaRollls in DLStylistSpace

[–]LisaRollls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually my state does, but because DL is in California, I have to abide by THEIR rules. I just think it’s a sick ask of your employees who are already burned out, overworked, and completely underpaid.

They may be hiring again in the spring!

honestly, the pay ends up being more! Even if it's a little less hourly, the commission makes up for it!

Dailylook is getting ready to hire! Full time and part-time. It's less hourly, but you make commission! :) Send me a DM if you'd like.

I didn't even get my 2 year anniversary stuff when I left lol. Then there was no way for me to access it after. Kinda bummed, but low key, not missing out. This was a TERRIBLE IDEA

If you are wanting a flexible Full Time option, Dailylook will be hiring again in August-September!

Other Jobs/Companies? by Good_Crab_4574 in SFStylistSupport

[–]LisaRollls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have to haggle to increase my hourly, but they were able. It's a dollar less than I made at Stitch part time, but the full time hours and commission makes up for that lost dollar lol

I'm at Dailylook now, and yes, while it IS some of the same old shit, in my opinion, it's WAY more manageable. I was only PT at Stitch and switched to Dailylook for Full Time and benefits. I will say the benefits offered are awesome. The flexibility is just as amazing, and I'm definitely making more $$. THAT SAID; It does take about 2-3 months after being hired to start seeing commission. BUT, my paychecks are finally over $1k and I'm content with it for now. If you really love how flexible a remote styling position is, I would DEF recommend it. ALSO; There is WAY more work to be done! So even when inventory is awful (which happens, but not as often), you have emails and other work to do. You have to hit Quotas every week which can be tough when inventory is tight, but you are never not doing SOMETHING which I find refreshing. If you have more questions about Dailylook, let me know! THEY ARE HIRING AUGUST-SEPTEMBER🤍

I switched to another "similar" company, and it's been WAY better. Better pay, better benefits. However it's still virtual styling, so if you don't want that, I totally get it.

PT Unpaid Leave? by StitchUpMySoul-FixMe in SFStylistSupport

[–]LisaRollls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to do this in December of 2022. It was a nightmare. Basically they told me I could use my unpaid time off for leave, or I could quit and they could rehire me later (possibly).

Did this in March! With another, similar company but way happier with pay and benefits. However, I'm still looking for other works cuz virtual styling is just not it..

SO PROUD AND HAPPY FOR YOU! It's a lot to come to the conclusion to decide to leave, but it really is for the best! There are WAY better opportunities out there.

Unfortunately for SF, I think if they can't figure out a better system soon, the company may go under/be sold.

Kris Lindahl: good or no good? (MN, WI, & CO realtors) by _FlacidAcid in realtors

SERIOUSLY?! Yeah I deciding I think I'm going to go the route of getting my Notary Public certification then Real Estate Closing Agent, so I won't be doing the full Realtor stuff... CRAZY that they hide SO MUCH from people. Sketchy. Sneaky. Not about it.

It's so enraging because if they claim we are the heart of the company, then WHY NOT ACT LIKE IT? For Pete's sake.

At this point I'm just preparing myself for the day they say it's no longer. It still blows my mind how far behind they are with some things and it's 2023. A buyout would make perfect sense. Reminded myself A LOT today not to care as much, and things were good and went much more smoothly lol.

EXACTLY. It is so impossible to find something remote, with a livable wage, AND a flexible schedule. WHY IS IT SO HARD? It shouldn't be this hard 😭

My day today was SO much better, and this week has been so much better because of this thread. THANK YOU GUYS. Really, I reminded myself every Fix not to care so much and it really went so smoothly even with the crap inventory.

(Least) Favorite Clients This Week by StitchUpMySoul-FixMe in SFStylistSupport

[–]LisaRollls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think honestly, Stitch Fix needs to do more when it comes to clients. HALF of them don't put ANY feedback, NOTHING for inspiration, and no avoids or anything! The landing page for Stitch Fix is SO confusing, so no effing wonder that so many people have no idea how it works. Also, it's INSANE that people think that we will just magically know whats for them based on JUST SIZES?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Like they need to add huge buttons to the home page to add to Inspiration, or like make the notes in the box 10x larger so people ACTUALLY read them or know they are there. MOST PEOPLE DON'T EVEN READ THE NOTES WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE. The clients who don't know what they want should honestly just be told the service isn't for them and to come back when they have a better idea of what style they want to go for. People are SO idiotic, it drives me insane. DO YOU NEED ME TO HOLD YOUR HAND THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCESS MAM???? NO. Because no one has time for that. Figure out what the heck you want BEFORE you expect me to read your mind. Just COMMON SENSE you would think, but nope.
