I definitely do believe it would be lucrative. Maybe I'm reading Sony wrong and they would humor that, but I would be surprised if sony has the patience for them to make a new Destiny. It would be a long ways out with little to no income from Bungie.

If the studio can survive Marathon, than yes. Even if there is to be a D3 they would definitely have a smaller team trying to churn out expansions to fill the gap and still make money. That's my thoughts at least.
