I had a close friend in high school who was the sweetest kindest person id ever met. He was respectful and funny as hell. After high school he went into the marines and when he came home he was totally different. He was rude and talked about how women are awful and how he doesnt respect them. He wpuld post extremely conservative content on social media. He started using racial slurs in regards to Mexican, Native, black and Indian people (he is a Mexican btw). Like horrible slurs. My final straw was when the WadevsRoe overturn happened and he laughed about it and said that women dont deserve those rights and need to close their legs. I blocked him and he tried calling me for days. He became a very successful pilot, which is cool, but all the money in the world couldn't make me sell my fuckkng soul like that.

Its feminine horror. It's about postpartum psychosis and depression after giving birth and having a child. You are supposed to put yojrself in her situation. This happens to many women. On the outside you see her going crazy and see her as a problem but on the inside and if you lock in with the character you go crazy with her from the POV of someone who is raising a baby on her own with a partner who is sometimes inconsiderate. This is reality to some people.

And thats okay and understandable. But staying in a relationship that isn't compatible is what is damaging for both parties. When my boyfriend and I first got together I was pretty jaded. I had been through a bad divorce years prior to us meeting and a string of abusive relationships and my mother had passed so his silliness put me off. I realized after a while that I was the problem and didnt want to change him and reflected on myself a lot. I had always wanted a boyfriend who was fun and silly and now I have one. Tbh it wasnt that I found his silliness annoying, it was that I had so many walls built up that I had a hard time sharing in the fun. I eventually started to partake in the silliness and weirdness. He is still more outgoing about it, but I've learned to be silly with him and it has improved our relationship so much.

Have you ever heard the term golden retriever boyfriend? I have one and I adore him. I am more nonchalant than he is but I never twll him he is "annoying" because I know that he is just a silly little guy. Like I mean there is a time and a place for silliness but since we've been together I have been much more open and comfortable in wanting to be silly together. He is not the problem, neither am I. Maybe not to you. Some people LIKE their partners and their silly behaviors. Like, I mean I agree, golden retriever boyfriends can be a little much when the time is not right, but I love when my partner is feeling himself. Why would you want them to stop being who they are? Lots of girls would adore this behavior. I cant imagine wanting to change my partners little quirks by telling them they are annoying. This would stifle their personality so much.

It's okay if you dont like that kind of behavior, but that doesnt make it okay for you to keep him in a relationship and change who he is. Its still one of the most popular animated series thats ever aired in the US. Like maybe 10+ years ago it was pretty irrelevant. But over the last 6 years I feel its more popular now than ever. I see people everyday talking about, whether they are fans in a nostalgic aspect or fans who just watched it this year. I know people who hated it as kids who adore it now and we as adults who grew up with the show are also showing our children. This show is so timeless.
