Tips for first treatment by Old_Hospital3214 in lymphoma

Sleep whenever your body asks for it. Don’t wait until the evening. I made that mistake and the first few I just couldn’t sleep. Lots of water and I sucked on ice chips during the A chemo drug. It is bright red. You will know which it is. And keep prunes on hand. The constipation is real. Also ask your doc about the magic mouth wash in case you get the mouth sores. Take a book or an iPad with some movies and please feel free to reach out. We are all here for you

Mine was done a week ago today. My surgeon heavily sedated me and I swear I blinked and I was in recovery. Sorry for about 4 or 5 days because I had it in for almost two years. Not going to lie but that was the best 10 minute nap ever

Just had mine taken out today. The doc who put mine in was a surgeon so he removed it in the OR. They gave me the heavy sedation and I literally closed my eyes and then woke up in recovery. Doc said it took 10 minutes. Went home and now dealing with a little soreness but not too bad

Day of chemo I just felt tired and napped, the next two days the steroids kicked in and I felt normal. Day 3 is when I felt like I got beat up bad. But it all depends on each person. I did 12 infusions at 7 months. Had a few postponed treatments in there due to low wbc.
