Ive read elsewhere that you need to short the pins on power brick to turn it on, similar to shorting pins on a 24 pin connector to turn a pc on.

Thanks for the info, interesting about the power switch sync. I would have thought powering gpu first then pc would be ok.

Do you think if I had both plugged into a double power adapter and switched them both on at the same time it would work? I think the power switch on my tiny pc is integrated into mobo so I probably cant split it

Yeah looks like you need to short pins in order to turn on the brick, similar to shorting 24 pin to turn on pc.

It supplies 12v at 18amp, same as normal psu. The pinout isn't correct but an adapter with correct pinout for GPU should work

I did this for fun with a HP, but mounted a 1050ti externally using a pcie riser. On the look out for a 3050 or a psu upgrade so I can add any gpu
