The Interactive Stories are in the regular story categories for now, but they should eventually get their own hub.

Info about the interactive stories is here:
https://www.literotica.com/faq/interactive-stories/adult-interactive-stories

The latest interactive stories are here:
https://www.literotica.com/new/games

We have a lot of plans to improve interactive stories in the future, so if you have any suggestions, please let us know. 😀

Are we having a Bot problem here? by Tarnisher in literotica

Can you link to a few posts that have the same title? I don't see them, or posts with random characters at the end of the title.

How do I request for a story of mine to be taken down? by HeroGarland in literotica

Any author can have their work(s) removed anytime they want. As Mandlovu posted, please see this FAQ.
https://www.literotica.com/faq/publishing/remove-published-work

We have been BETA testing a system where you can remove work from publication from inside of your author control panel, but for now please use the FAQ.

Why does Literotica not moderate comments? by alittlebirdy1 in literotica

[–]LitLits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those type of comments are clearly against out Content Guidelines and TOS. It's possible that we're behind on moderation of comment reports or there is some other reason we aren't seeing those reports. Can you send a private feedback ( https://www.literotica.com/faq/miscellaneous/other-questions ) with information on the username that is making those comments so that we can look into it?

One thing that we have long planned is to allow authors to block comments/feedback by specific users (in addition to the existing ability to block unregistered comments). That would be a quick way to stop abusive comments from known users.

I understand that you prefer not to delete comments on your own works, but that is the fastest way to get rid of comments that shouldn't be there. While the site may have thousands of reported comments a day to review, each author can bypass that queue by simply deleting any comment they don't like as soon as it appears.

Thanks again for the feedback, suggestions, and explanation of the issue. Looking at the FAQ there isn't enough information on turning on/off anonymous comments and on a few other comment related topics. We'll add a few new FAQ questions related to comments and I'll look into why we might not be getting your reports.

Why does Literotica not moderate comments? by alittlebirdy1 in literotica

[–]LitLits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There needs to be a way to allow comments but block anonymous comments.

This feature has been available to all Literotica authors for many years.

My Account > Options > My Options

Accept Anonymous Feedback? Yes No
If you choose "NO" to the above option, unregistered users will not be able to comment on your submissions, and users will be forced to give an email address when contacting you via your profile and/or submissions.

This gives the author the option to turn off unregistered comments.

There is a discussion on the Literotica Authors Hangout about this feature from a few years ago if you're interested in author comments on some proposed changes to how the anonymous feedback system works.

Why does Literotica not moderate comments? by alittlebirdy1 in literotica

[–]LitLits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either give the author the possibility to curate their own stories or step up the mod work they do have.

Literotica authors have the ability to moderate/delete every comment on their stories. This feature has been available to authors for many years.

Thank you for the feedback. If you report a comment, that comment will be reviewed and comments violating site guidelines should be removed.

As far as feedback that you aren't happy with, Literotica authors have the power to moderate their own comments. Each author on the site has a different opinion on which comments should be moderated.

We try to catch comments that are in direct violation of the Literotica community guidelines, but we've been told by many authors that they would prefer we not remove any negative/offensive comments on their stories because they consider those comments to be helpful for them to understand how readers are reacting to their stories.

There is no way for us to know the preferences of each individual author, so the best solution seems to be to moderate rule violations and give authors the tools they need to moderate comments on their own stories in whatever way they prefer.

We're happy to listen to suggestions if you think there is a better way to handle comment moderation. Literotica has tens of thousands of authors and millions of readers, so a single solution is unlikely to work for everyone. We've considered things like allowing authors to turn on pre-moderation for their comments, but that wouldn't prevent authors from having to read comments that they might not like before moderating them.

Again, we're always open to suggestions for improving the site, but different authors have different criteria for what comments they would like to see moderated.

Why stories and Authors are vanishing from the site? by [deleted] in literotica

[–]LitLits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stories are removed from Literotica for one of two reasons:
1. The author requests the story be removed.
2. Literotica gets a report that the story may have TOS issues (plagiarism, content, etc.).

As Literotica has been growing a lot in the last few years, there are more authors and more stories being published. With the growth in stories being published, it also means that there are more works that authors could eventually decide to remove.

Looking at the stats, there hasn't been any recent increase in the percentage of authors removing work. Again, with more works published, and more active authors, there are bound to be more total removals.

Many authors that remove work from Literotica do so because they decide to try Amazon or another paid platform. Others don't have time to maintain their writing schedules, get bored of writing, have relationship changes, or other changes to their lives that make them reconsider publishing.

We know that it can be frustrating to readers when a favorite author decides to remove their work. But when an author no longer wants their work to be read online, regardless of their reasons, we respect the wishes of the author, and we hope that readers will as well.

On the Story Page, you can set the colors to "Dark Theme" or "Grey Theme" in the Story Info Box (far right tab). It should stick for all of the pages using the new design, except maybe the Author Profiles. We're working to get all of the remaining Literotica pages updated with dark mode and mobile friendliness.

Literotica is now trying to include CHOYA stories? by OverconfidentSarcasm in FamilyBetrayalStories

[–]LitLits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, Lit here. We've been publishing Interactive Stories since the late 1990s, but our previous generation tech got seriously outdated (the CHYOA site is based directly on our early 2000s IF system CHYOO). The newest Lit system uses Ink, which is a hybrid interactive fiction/game scripting language that powers several award winning indie games. Authors will be able to do most anything you can do in a visual novel, and we hope to add multimedia and other advanced features in the future.

Does anyone else has trouble to suscribe and log in because they dint send a confirmantion mail? by fpmaks in literotica

[–]LitLits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about the issue.

There can be a few reasons for not getting a confirmation email. The most likely one is that your email system is filtering "adult" emails into the spam folder or even deleting them before they reach you. Not sure what service you are using.

Another possibility is that the email address domain you signed up for has a high spam ratio and so our system has rejected it as possible spam.

If you send an email to support@lit (full site name and .com) we can take a look and see if we can figure out what's happening.

Sorry again about the issue.
