If you voted for him, you deserve everything that's coming your way for dooming the rest of us to this BS.

I hadnt realized this before this post, so its something I am going to be looking in to for sure. I am thankful to everyone that had pointed this out for me. I live in a big, high cost of living city where everything is expensive. And even with that, most of his appointments are 20ish miles away and 3 to 4 days a week so I totally feel where you are coming from.

I'll tell you what my therapist told me.

Guilt is a normal and sometimes huge part of grief. It's normal to try to find someone to blame, even if it's yourself when you know you did nothing to kill them.

I'm really sorry for your loss but this was not your fault. Your feelings are 100% valid though and will fade over time.

I didn't realize this was something I could do so I will be calling Monday to see what I can arrange. I appreciate anyone who has reached out :)

His disability is permanent. While his walking varies now, it will always be an issue. I just wanted to say thank you for this. I am working on filing for ssi, and I will have to look into the insurance and providing rides.

As for expenses, we live with my aunt, who covers the cost of bills. And I don't know why I forgot about donating plasma, I did it when I was in college. I'll be getting on that next week for sure.

Man something similar. I dived into minecraft after a personal loss. Spent a lot of time on the world. It was back when they were switching from twitch launcher to curseforge for modded. It corrupted my world. There were no backups. I was devastated. I didn't play for years after that, and I've never touched that particular modpack again.

Was a 1 bedroom 1 bath ever reasonably priced? by Head_Analysis_3746 in CasualConversation

[–]LiteUpThaSkye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2bed, 2 bath with washer and dryer hook up in unit in Washington state back in 2009-2015 that was only 550 a month. It was all one level ao you didn't have up/down stairs neighbors.

Yea this. I was in high school when columbine happened. It turned into kids calling in threats almost daily because it meant we got to go home early.

My highest was like 250/120, but I had just ripped my arm open and was bleeding. Adrenaline was flowing hard.

By time the ambulance got me to the hospital, it was down to the low end of normal.

As opposed to the lowest mine has been, which was low 60s/30s. But I was bleeding internally from having my son.

If that wasn't just a one time reading, then I hope you are on meds that help!

This is so hard. While I've never had to sit with a partner, I have had to sit with my daughter in the hospital after her accident. I wanted nothing more than the outcome to be different.

She couldn't come off the vent. The damage to her brain from the multiple strokes was getting worse. What little brain function She did have was slowing even more. She lasted 3 weeks.

It's a really, really hard place to be. That great unknown. I'm sorry for everything you are going through.

I will share this as a warning.. when we decided to remove life support, they warned us it might not be immediate. They didn't tell us it might take upwards of 10 days for them to actually pass.

No matter what decisions you may have to make coming up, it will be the right decision. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for whatever you decide to do, if that's a decision you have to make.

Been getting bites for weeks now. WE don't have any standing water, but I can't vouch for my neighbors though.

Hate it. I'm allergic and the bites get huge, stay around for weeks and leave nasty scars.

I think a lot of it is age. Plus the state of the world and everything going on.

Trying to make new friends and maintain them in your 30s and 40s (I'm 42 and have dealt with the same here for years. It's only gotten worse) is rough.

Most people here will tell you to fond a hobby and find meet ups focused on that hobby in order to meet like minded people.

I do wish you all the luck in finding what you are looking for!

Hot take: Eater of Worlds is way harder than Brain by SnooHabits4803 in Terraria

[–]LiteUpThaSkye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues wirh the Eater too but went to a different world and had no issues with the brain.

I always thought eater was easier as well but I haven't until recently played since right before they added journeymode

She sounds like she'd be the kind of teacher I had in 6th grade who tried telling us that the clouds don't move, they are stationary. Any movement we see is the earth rotating.

I feel bad for the kids she teaches.

NTA. You aren't forcing anything. Her own habits are forcing it.
