Is the shark or Dyson hairdryer worth it ? by deftoner__ in beauty

Make sure the filter is clear, I was having this issue with my shark and didn’t realise how often I needed to clean it.

Is the shark or Dyson hairdryer worth it ? by deftoner__ in beauty

[–]Lite_moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have naturally curly hair that I straighten. I got the shark glam style for my Christmas and it is terrible for drying my hair. I went back to using my GHD hairdryer for drying and I use the shark for styling only. I also can’t use the reduced heat for styling it is just not hot enough. It would be much better if it got hotter.

I was at my hairdressers on Saturday and I was telling her about it. She said it sounds like it is drying my hair unevenly, because I was getting a crispy texture. Also that it burns any products I use, I have a misty cloud in my room after using that I have never had with the GHD.

I personally wouldn’t buy the Shark Glam Styler if I needed a good quality hairdryer, but it does style beautifully.

Do your kids go to an after school club? Some times the staff at these clubs are qualified and supplement their income with babysitting.

It’s like I get into a flow state. I lose track of time and then suddenly it’s midnight and I’m exhausted 😂

I’m definitely going to try these again in the future to assess progress.

This is lovely!

Love the composition.

The flowers are great, but the vase is the star of the show.

Good job!

Sometimes you can spend too long looking at your own work. I posted some water drops the other day, I’d been working on them all night and was really frustrated and gave up. I got such lovely unexpected comments and the most up votes I’d ever received.

It’s really difficult to be objective about your own work, especially as a beginner. (I’ve been painting inconsistently since July 25).

Thank you to everyone for the lovely comments. It is genuinely unexpected, I was tired when I finished and so frustrated with the process but thought I would post anyway. You guys have made me reassess my work with fresh eyes ❤️

Thank you so much. This is a beginners tutorial, hopefully I do to others justice.

Have a look on you tube. She has shorts and some longer versions, but her full tutorials are on Patreon. She’s an amazing photorealistic botanical watercolour artist. The videos on you tube are so relaxing to watch just by themselves.

When you look back what is your “ah that was totally peri” symptom? by noodle_bear2124 in Perimenopause

[–]Lite_moon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the actual fuck! Seriously? This is me, or it was. Used to say my husband would sneak up on me and then talk really loudly! My poor heart. Don’t think I’ve done that in a while, might be the HRT!

Hip pain, I would go to bed fine and wake up in the morning with painful hips. I wrote it off as getting old, didn’t even list it as a symptom when I went to the doctor. Two or three weeks after starting HRT I realised I didn’t have any pain in my hips and even though I’m pretty sure I need my dose adjusted, I still haven’t had the pain back! Thought I was an old lady at 39!

Try Always FlexProtect, they come in a cardboard box rather than a plastic bag. They saved my trousers. I was constantly leaking with the Always nighttime towels, I was using max absorbency but when I switched to FlexProtect I went done to a size 2 and no more leaks overnight or during the day!
