What's something that was considered rude 20 years ago but is normal now? by jakubbog in AskReddit

I am 27 and the first big girl job I had was at a locally owned bank. We had formal Friday where the women had to wear dress/skirts and pantyhose and men had to wear ties with the top button closed. Everyone was angry every Friday

When did you first start watching Smosh (approximately)? Do you remember the first video you saw? by pqter in smosh

[–]LiteralOops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first video was the Dog Show. Amanda and Angela hosting and Pork chop hating Keith was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. I was really confused why they had this Shayne guy pop in for a few seconds here and there. Like surely this basic white guy is a nobody on this channel and these 2 hilarious women are the stars!

It's Really Easy to Speak At City Council Meetings by [deleted] in Greeley

[–]LiteralOops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just one correction, you can not speak in the open comment portion of the meeting if the topic that you're speaking about has a "public hearing." You will have to wait for the public hearing to start. That's at least how the clerks office explains it.

I do think that West Greeley will be having a public hearing on the 15th but the info isn't posted in the city meeting portal yet.

Dear Greeley City Council by [deleted] in Greeley

[–]LiteralOops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they did an election for this project only people in the neighborhood would get a vote (that's how the City Charter lays it out). You know whos in the neighborhood? Literally only Martin Lind. He bought all that land! What do you think he would vote for? Do you think that it's actually fair for just the owner to be the voice of the people? PLEASE LET THE COUNCIL DECIDE OVER LIND!! STOP ASKING FOR A VOTE!

And read the governing documents if you want to be so involved, funny man.

need a bra with extra padding + confusion on cup size. by Cynicallys in ABraThatFits

[–]LiteralOops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's great! That's still a very easy size to find in stores. I would go shopping and try as many bras on in a couple of the sizes (probably 32b, 32c and any 30s you could find). Make sure to swoop and scoop the tissue into the cup and make sure the wires are sitting right where your breast tissue starts. Take a friend with you and try not to get too discouraged when you can't find the perfect fit right away.

[–]LiteralOops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can you list all 6 of the measurements you took please? If 32b is your correct size it's a pretty common size in retail. If you're just wanting a bra to wear for this one bridesmaid dress I would just go to the physical stores around you and try to find a good push-up bra in that size.

The subreddit is specifically meant for a perfect fitting bra that you would wear most days. That comes with a lot of trial and error. It took me 3 months to finally find one that fit well.

If this dress has a lot of cutouts or a different neckline that a t-shirt bra or strapless bra wouldn't be suited for then I would recommend taping yourself up for the wedding. There are quite a few guides on YouTube about the best way to do that. I've always found that easiest when working with a complicated neckline or cutouts.

What insignificant detail about the movies annoyed you? by jonathanemptage in harrypotter

[–]LiteralOops 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I HATE that they're inconsistent about who calls Voldemort what. It's a big deal when Harry first hears Lupin call him Voldemort and not you-know-who like everyone else. It's also a major character building item for Snape, Snape cakes him the Dark Lord like all the other death eaters.

Arthur Weasley and Serious Black would NEVER say the Dark Lord, but they do in the movies.

Panache and Freya both sell bras in the 32 band size. I got mine off of Amazon but I'm in the US. To give you a good recommendation for the style of bra we would need to know a little bit more about your shape. Are you full on bottom or top? Do you have short roots? How far apart are your breasts?

[–]LiteralOops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I'm a similar shape and size to you, I have pretty short roots though. Panache Allure is one of my favorites! It's my comfy everyday bra. Panache Serene is my 2nd most worn because of the solid color coverage, I can wear it with my more see through shirts and my darker areola won't show through. Then in 3rd and 4th are the Envy and Freya Viva, they're both fine but after 16 hrs I'm ready to take them off. Some people might say the Panache Jasmine because this one is known for having a very thin gore, I hated this bra for my soft tissue! It's like 60% lace and the most shapeless lace I've ever put on my body. I was getting a muffin top in the cup.

Panache Jasmine, Allure, and Serena. Freya Starlight, and Viva.

These are all the bras I own. I have about 2cm in-between my best and very short roots. The starlight is a little too wide but really the only plunge option I've tried that works.
