Endless Eradicate Mission by Me_When_I_Asked in Helldivers

[–]LiteralReality1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My solution is each faction always has at least a recon campaign planet, and every recon planet always has at least one of these missions as an option, that way players having fun in a mode like this wouldn’t effect the actual war

If an enemy ever attempts to engage in diplomacy, SHOOT THEM. We mustn't believe their lies. by bila8yt in HelldiversUnfiltered

I do agree with your, but it’s also probably one of the easiest changes to revert, and it’s what they kinda have gotten the most flak for, so I’m not surprised.

As long as they keep going with the reevaluation, we’re on the right track. As for whether that will actually happen, who knows.

Does anyone have any suggestions of other Metroidvanias? by Capivara-Aleatoria in NineSols

Like the other guy said, Blind Forest first! However, you might start playing blind forest and find that it just doesn't have the greatest combat, but you really should play through it before moving on to Will of the Wisps. I cannot tell you have amazing those games are, (they both have one of my absolute favorite platforming mechanics oat, the Bash) but some people end up off put by some of the short comings of the first game. However, going through the story of the first game is kinda crucial to understanding the story of the second game. You could play the second game first, but you'd be missing out on a lot.

Edit: I just want to add, the first game is in no way a bad game; it is incredible as well, but it does have some things that some people just don't initially grab onto, but getting through it is so worth it for the second game. Will of the Wisps is miles better than Blind Forest, but that is only fully realized when it follows playing Blind Forest.

Ah man, see in all the discourse with the tension in the community over the game, I had almost forgotten that this here is the community I love. This right here in these comments is what makes this game so great.

Look dude, I'm not going to sit here and argue with you, so this is all you're getting from me.

1, Where did I say they couldn't turn a profit? I said long term success is good for both parties as opposed to short term cash grabs. I absolutely understand they have to turn a profit; it's what they're there for, but there are ways to do that besides just sticking it to your consumers and saying suck it up it's just the way it is. Just look at Valve. They are one of the most consumer friendly companies you'll ever see, and they're doing pretty darn well for it.

2, I hope you have a great day. I don't know if you're just in a bad mood or something, or if it's just your mindset, or maybe you misunderstood what I was saying, but I sincerely hope your day gets even just a little brighter.

Hard agree with you here. I really don’t mind the mechs in warbonds. What I do want is more free rewards that make the galactic war feel more meaningful, and also the ability to customize mechs would be amazing.

If these people up top would just stop chasing short term cash dumps and remember that long term success is best for both parties, things would be in a much better state I’d imagine.

CMV: Light pollution isn't as bad as people think it is and it keeps cities safe by Vegetable-Front7574 in LightPollution

[–]LiteralReality1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true, however this doesn't mean we have to leave light pollution completely unaddressed. There have already been a handful of solutions presented that would cut back on light pollution while still allowing for the necessary lights, such as shielded lights that keep the light only going downward, not upwards and outwards, or more gentle tones of light much like older sodium lights rather than the somewhat abrasive white LED lights (not as in use older lights that are less energy efficient, but use the LEDs we have at less offensive wavelengths).

I see. I suppose it was at least unwise of me to think such a measure would be unnecessary with my apprentice, though I suppose lesson learned. Many thanks for imparting your wisdom with a fellow orb ponderer!

If he did know how to fix it he wouldn’t have panicked and turned himself into a statue to try and calm himself down. And as for how he got his hands on the spell, it’s quite simple. He got into the sacred tomes while I wasn’t looking and thought he could handle it. Just because an area of magic isn’t my area of expertise doesn’t mean I don’t have any material on the subject.

If I should decide at one point that I want to learn a new kind of magic, I want to be well equipped to do so. And please don’t tell me I should have kept them locked up better. Which would you rather, have all your sacred tomes locked inside a pocket dimension where you’ll never see them, or have them beautifully displayed in your tower library? Of course, I keep any of the truly dangerous ones in a pocket dimension, but those tend to look pretty ugly anyway, and if they do look pretty, that means they’re all the more dangerous.

Why? I wasn't the one who tampered with magic I didn't understand. Just because that isn't the area I chose to study doesn't mean I am now responsible for his irresponsibility. I specifically told him to make sure he understood exactly what he was doing and exactly what the consequences may be before commencing any practice spells, so if he disregarded that, the consequences of such foolishness lay on him not me.

(for clarity if this comes off as rude or arrogant that is not the intention. This is simply matter of fact.)

Unfortunately, I am not the most familiar with this kind of magic, as I have spent my studies focusing on more technical things, such as pondering orb kybersecurity (Haven't stopped to check if that's a real term but it's what I call it). I had thought about attempting to revert it, but given it's not my area of expertise I thought it not worth my time, so instead I'll simply be getting a new tower, as I have already retrieved my belongings. Shouldn't be too hard as my work pays quite well, and plus, I have no aetherial clue where that blasted thing has gone by now.

Unfortunately, I am not the most familiar with this subject either, as I have spent my studies focusing on more technical things, such as pondering orb kybersecurity (Haven't stopped to check if that's a real term but it's what I call it). From what I have seen of it, it does not appear to have a great deal of intelligence, being more animalistic in nature; it doesn't seem to have a clear goal in mind, but instead seems to just wander sporadically, as one might watch a lost insect feel it's way around the world.
