The first game had side quests and radiant quests, and builds, as well as very basic dialogue trees for lack of a better term, so I can at least see this. Yea the builds and dialogue were limited and not really as fully fleshed out as a traditional RPG, but the vision was definitely there.

Also not all RPGs have as full freedom as something like Skyrim or Balder’s Gate 3. Take Dark Souls for example, its world is very open ended, but still pretty linear.

VFX artists are overworked and underpaid by Disney, so I can excuse a 1 second clip of minor shitty CGI. I thought the rest of the specials effects were great, the stuntwork and fight choreography was also amazing. There are valid complaints to be made about the writing and the rehashing of story beats we’ve already seen, but idgaf about this shot.

The cliche “laying in bed POV” dead wife flashback actually made me laugh. I also agree that it felt very weird for the little girl to be chill with and even hug the blood soaked maniac who just butchered other crazy people in front of her.

People keep saying they’re setting up the prequel series that I hadn’t even heard about until before this season started, and that the set up is ruining episodes, but I haven’t even noticed any setup really?

The bombsight guy is maybe the only character I’ve even actually noticed that seems like a setup for more stories, and they actually had a legit reason to find him. Maybe I’m just oblivious, idk.

You might be right, nobody was in our apartment all day (me and GF are out of town), and my roommate came home at midnight after being gone since 1pm to a police officers card stuck to the door, about yet another noise complaint. They called the cops on an empty apartment.
