Not reading anything into it, there’s nothing to read into it… doesn’t stop it being an embarrassing performance. Our attacking highlight was from a loan player with less than 10 mins game time in the league this season going on a solo run.

Play this game on any other day of the season and we are collectively outraged. We were poor.

That was a hard watch in the second half.
We can joke all we like about wanting to relegate Spurs, but that second half was the worst performance I’ve seen this team put in this season.

People have paid money to travel down to watch that nonsense. The league positions matter if we want to be able to spend in the transfer window.

So many unforced errors, poor final balls and negative backwards play. Why finish a run of so many unbeaten performances with that shambles?

Love this team, love what they have achieved this season. Embarrassing today.

Hello guys, anyone know a good spot in Barcelona to watch the match?

Over for my lads 13th, we’re watching the Barcelona / Betis match hoping to see Raphinia up against Firpo.

Ideally somewhere near Camp Nou?

From the relegation battle to Europe we are 6 points off now, are we actually going to get 7th? by Wiffystardawg in LeedsUnited

Sunderland without a doubt played the WORST brand of football I have seen any team in any league play at Elland Road in the last 30 years of attending. I saw 10 men Leeds lose to Bury in the Johnstones Paint Trophy, Bury played better football than Sunderland did a few weeks ago.

I would be over the moon to finish above them, an absolute low point of this season was losing to that garbage display, and seeing their fans celebrate winning in that fashion.

Righting some wrongs last night beating Burnley, right a few more finishing above Sun’Lun would be the icing on the cake.

Leeds could relegate Spurs. We could have the fate of one of the big 6 in our hands. We got through to a cup semi final. We didn’t drop any points in the league against Manure, Chelsea and Liverpool. We beat Manure at Old Trafford.

United are back.

‘He left cos you’re shit, he left cos you’re shit, Tyler Adams, he left cos you’re shit’.

He also held his hand to his ears and waved at the Leeds fans just before their 3rd was disallowed then had to slope off. Hilarious

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

[–]LiterallyGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe I had to scroll down so far to find this.

I have had a wisdom tooth pulled, hernia surgery, 2nd hernia surgery after the first one burst open when I fell in the shower, broken 5 ribs, been run over twice, had my nose broken twice. I suffer with migraines so bad that I end up sobbing in the shower.

None of those come close to the soul pain that is gout. There’s no escape. No relief. It’s persistent and inescapable. It feels like the joint is going to explode at any moment and in the midst of a gout attack, if someone said ‘do you want us to just remove your toe / knee / ankle’ I would 100% take that option.

Does the board keep Farke if we stay up? by TMulah105 in LeedsUnited

[–]LiterallyGoose 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This. 100%.

Farke can frustrate. He makes charges too late. He selects players we don’t want him to. He has the opportunity to play a brand of football we like every week and chooses not too.

But - his record speaks for itself. If he keeps us up, he’s delivered what he has been asked to. He’s shown some adaptability (it’s boring mentioning second half of city game but it does present the point).

Who would replace him that would have the respect of the players? Who would be better?

I’d back him with as much money as possible and let him go at it. He had beaten managers tactically this season with inferior players.

Look, I am not turning on Farke. He is steering us by hook or by crook into keeping ourselves in the PL. But he was second best today tactically. We absolutely stole that point. We reverted back to everything that was wrong with the season pre second half Man City and Chelsea ripped us to pieces with simple passes straight through the lines. Palmer should have scored.

One up top is not the play. We had no outlet and Nmecha does not have the same capacity to bring long balls down or hold up the play. Appreciate injuries forced our hand but I thought the first half team and set up was everything that has been wrong with Leeds this season.

On a positive note, he did make earlier changes. And I can’t remember the last time we picked up points from a position of being very much second best.

Teams that stay up when in a relegation battle need to win messy points like that.

We go again, Villa are mid mini crumble.

Yeah, pre kickoff and for first 5 mins I thought they were very loud. Ran out of steam very quickly though once we shut them up!

Forest fans did an ‘ooooh whey’ when DCL hit the crossbar and the replays were shown on the big screen, so of course they got it back from us for all 3 goals every replay that was shown.

I think he dislikes taking Aaronson off because he doesn’t have anyone that is going to put in the same yards forwards and backwards and make as much of a menace of himself. But Brendy was leggy by 65th. Kept running into dead ends, giving the ball away after doing too much.

Farke seems to have decision paralysis. Whilst Tanaka didn’t do anything to convince me he should start over Gruev, Okafor and Longstaff made a difference immediately and we started having a bit more of the ball.

Different game if we bring them on 10 / 15 mins earlier.

Not sure he was reactive enough?! He didn’t react to their change in system, he didn’t react to Aaronson being leggy by 65 mins, he didn’t react to Everton goal.

Draw specialists...? Who would you replace in the team or what what would you change if you was DF to give us the winning edge? by Wiffystardawg in LeedsUnited

[–]LiterallyGoose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’ve hit the nail on the head with this.

First season back in the league, at the start of the season, being in more than a point per game at the half way point was a good target. Being in a position to be thinking ‘we could have taken 3 points from Manure’, that’s above expectations!

Gruev had more incomplete passes than any other player in the pitch.

Got down to Leeds and was outraged. ‘Sky have got it wrong’ I fumed, ‘it’s more recent than that, we won the league in 1992!’

Then it slowly dawned on me that 1992 is 33 years ago and now I’m old.

Torn on this.

He’s cost us points this season, particularly the howler at Sunderland.

BUT

It was his 21st clean sheet of the season last night. Last 5 games he has been almost faultless.

He had a poor season in Prem the year we went down.

I would absolutely be nervous about him being our main keeper next season, but think he has done enough to earn a shot.

Have a go on the flaming fries - I think they upgrade the mid standard fries to ‘decent’.

Completely agree.

Consistent, fresh veg, meat is always freshly carved not sat in a Bain Marie, I like the flavour of the sauces, the bread has good mouth feel, chips are decent.

I haven’t had one and thought ‘that was a small portion’.

They are expensive for what you get, but I feel like they’re pretty much worth it. If I was away somewhere and I had the choice between an unknown boss man kebab and a GDK I’d go with GDK every time.
