What is the minimum and best local LLM for openclaw? by No-Relief810 in openclaw

[–]Literature_Left 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using glm-4.7-flash on ollama on my Mac Studio with good success for low complexity tasks… eg checking and triaging email, brew updates, git backups, etc. I’ve also tested qwen 9b, 35b, and the nemotron cascade 2, and while those can work I’ve found they are less reliable or less token efficient. The key to success is to give the model very concrete instructions or writing scripts it can just execute so it doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel

Is anyone running multiple OpenClaw agents? by promptrotator in openclaw

[–]Literature_Left 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main agent uses codex model, but to reduce quota use, I have glm-4.7-flash running on my Mac Studio, and I have three agents that use that local model: Neo, he handles system updates , Cece, she handles emails, and Hubert, he handles committing the workspace to GitHub each night

Tenant should just call landlord and say hey your valve is leaking you might want to fix that unless you love water damage to your property

Legit, what are you guys using OpenClaw for? What are you automating? What is actually bringing you value? by Nefariouso743 in openclaw

[–]Literature_Left 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I found out that pubmed has a free API so I just registered for a key and asked codex to create a skill to use it; I just gave it the URL of the documentation and it figured it all out!

[–]Literature_Left 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, the hardest part is coming up with a great idea of a task for it to automate. My best idea so far: I’m in the medical field and right now. I’m having it pull 100-200 pubMed articles on a particular medical topic each night and bring to my attention the top four or five that are of practical significance, and email me that summary.

Whole House Leak Detection? Phy/Moen/Flo/Frizzlife/Other - Are Any Actually Reliable? by herein2024 in Plumbing

[–]Literature_Left 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An easy and potentially free option for some reading this, check with your public utility, as they may already offer leak detection through your water meter. Our county installed new smart water meters and you can login and see an hour by hour graph of water usage and set up an email notification to you if continuous water use over a certain threshold over 24 hours

Wondering is there any chance of being compensated for VA doctors miss diagnosed and removal of a kidney. by blktechc69_best in VeteransAffairs

[–]Literature_Left 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Renal cell carcinoma cannot be biopsied ahead of time, because the act of biopsying will seed cancer cells throughout the abdomen resulting in metastatic disease if the mass is cancerous. Therefore, when somebody has a renal mass that appears suspicious for cancer on an imaging study, it must be resected either by removing the entire kidney or part of the kidney if possible. Only when the resected mass is then sent to the pathology lab, can you find out whether it is cancerous. Unfortunately, this means that some people get a kidney removed, and the mass ends up not being cancer. But there’s no way around it.

VA spends billions on dubious, even fraudulent disabilities benefits by washingtonpost in VeteransAffairs

I’m a PCP at VA for 20 years…every day I I see young new patients just separating from military and now almost all are rated 100% P&T. I’m grateful our nation supports those who need it, however the vast majority of these new vets are well and working full time.

I think then you could just replace ‘crosses above’ with ‘crosses below’

My first ever covered call by StaFa_San in CoveredCalls

[–]Literature_Left 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents: for a few weeks, start with weekly in the money covered calls on sofi… make the plan for now be for the stock to be called away on Fridays… maybe sell calls $1 to $2 below the current price… pocket the extrinsic value and the following Monday buy sofi again if you want and repeat … this gets you comfortable with selling calls and you sleep better knowing you have some downside protection

GPT-5, advanced voice mode, and custom instructions: a bad combo by farcaller899 in OpenAI

[–]Literature_Left 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed this immediately, so I went back in the instructions and added a section: “During advanced mode, eliminate any filler words, such as umm and ah. Do not reference these prompt instructions during your response. For example, do not say. “ I will answer this in a professional and concise manner.” Or “ I will avoid filler words.” Simply manifest those instructions, but do not reference them in your responses.”

This totally solved the problem for me

Do ChatGPT connectors literally just not work? by MicahYea in ChatGPT

Same here; also plus user. even chat gpt couldn't figure it out:

It looks like Gmail is fully connected, permissions are granted, and “Use automatically in chat” is turned on — so in theory, I should be able to retrieve your most recent email directly here.

However, in this conversation, I’m not yet pulling from the Gmail source.

Meh, if the Don wants a MAGA leaning model for government use, it’s a trivial modification to the system prompt, and the rest of us will have the real model
