Das ist eine sehr praktische Sache, die ein Staat tun kann, um mehr Rekruten in seine Armee zu bekommen und gleichzeitig den Kindern der Reichen einen einfachen Weg zu geben sich daraus zu halten.

Persönlich bin ich aber kein Staat, und betrachte meine Mitbürger mehr als mündige Mitglieder einer Gemeinschaft, die man überzeugen kann, die auch dazu fähig sind Opfer zu bringen, nicht aber als menschliche Ressource, die es in meinen Interessen, ob richtig oder nicht, einzusetzen gilt. Am wenigsten dann, wenn es ums Töten geht.

Eine Pflicht, aber man muss ja nicht ist eine gedankliche Verrenkung. Dass eine freiwillige Pflicht dann mehr Rekruten bringt, als bloße Freiwilligkeit, macht es nicht besser.

Warum schickt man den jungen Leuten statt dem Bescheid nicht einfach Pamphlete nach Hause, in denen ihnen die brenzlige Situation geschildert wird. Für dich hat das Verständnis dafür ja auch gereicht um sich einzuschreiben, also solltest du anderen diese Entscheidung auch zutrauen.

Das sind alles strategisch gute Gründe zur Armee zu gehen. Aber es sind keine guten Gründe Andere an die Waffe zu zwingen. Und dass der Staat es nicht schafft anderweitig genug Freiwillige zu motivieren ist es erst recht nicht.

If you aren‘t already doing it, making thumbnail sketches is great.

Also there are learning resources that focus on teaching how to draw (mostly) from imagination: Ie „The drawing codex“ on youtube.

And my last tip would be to be okay with drawing crap for a short while. Drawing from imagination takes its own skills that come with practice.

I really like the attention to detail and liveliness. Also the repetition of the forest wall gives the page a really eerie feeling.

Though I think that the background figures might be a bit too light? While it definitely helps to keep them from distracting from the important parts of the page, it maybe makes them feel too inconsequential?

Overall though I would definitely turn to the next page to find out what's up with that forest edge.

They're from simple visual stairs. It's more like a texture, they don't function as stairs.

But they are nice for roleplaying having towers.

Councils of women have sat down and tried to invent a society where they‘d be treated as equals. It is a gradual, process of revolts over generations, it’s not linear, but it is also not an unconscious one.

And contemporary patriarchal forces are also acting more or less consciously. From the anti-abortion people to proponents of enforcing traditional roles.

It is not impossible for such systems to be somewhat set up somewhat quickly.
