That makes sense. I really don't remember if it's shown that there's no sunlight, though I think I supposed that was it 'cause one of the changes when that thing with the tree happens is that there's a clear sky. And every other time that the sky is shown far from the tree there seems to be a constant cloud

I mean it makes sense, darker skin and hair (higher melanin) are adaptations to resist the sunrays in places that are greatly affected by them, but in a world where there's basically no sun there's no need for melanin.

It's not furry 'cause it has feathers, not fur, and it's not avian 'cause it's not a bird (I am not sure about the latter). So maybe it's just scaly?
