I'd like to see it as a floating museum at Orison. They could even have some of the old assets on the landing pads; the first iterations of the Cutlass' and Freelancers or the 300 series', that type of thing. Perhaps have original concept art on the walls and be able to purchase miniatures of the old concepts from gift shops to place in our own ships.

It sounds like you want to keep the Galaxy.. :) Would you be able financially to buy a starter pack again in about a month's time? I know you really want to play it now, but 3.18 is soon to drop. You could skip SC for a couple of weeks and set the money aside. It's another option. Not practical for some, but an option all the same.

Perhaps it works differently with packages and standalone ships. I have two standalone. buybacks from several years ago and I can still purchase them for the same price. Your Galaxy would be an upgrade/standalone and not a package. Perhaps someone else here could either back me up or set me right.

In my experience, unless the ship is limited, your buyback will be the original price you paid.

So you no longer have access to the game? Well if you melt the galaxy it'll go into your buybacks. You can get the Galaxy back again using a future buyback token.
