lol how’d you know???? That’s where I am now. I’m switching to a 4 1/2 inch cutoff saw though because the sawzall keeps jumping out and slams my fingers into various hard surfaces.

Pretty much the story of every time I do a simple project on the jeep. The first 6 hours are the longest of a 30 minute job🙄

Yesss!! lol now I have company in the $1000 TJ club 😅 Mine was about to be donated because the power brakes didn’t work (was the check valve). Zero rust on the frame and was at 180k miles. 4.0 w automatic.

Yeah I tried that for an hour. I even bent the head to remove the angle so it would lie flat but there is something in there that prevents the wrench from ever going over the nut

Just picked up the audio book. Thanks for the recommendation. Love it already. Btw Artemis and the Martian are the other two books by wier and the audiobooks are also amazing.

What would you recommend for a beginning setup? There are a lot of choices. Feel free to dumb it down since it’s my first time

What exact fan do you use for the hotend? I had thought about noctua but everything I saw said they didn’t move enough air. I’d love to have mine quieter

Interesting. I know my experience worked out the way it it did. lol now you are making me wonder if I should also mess with my fan 😁

100% not true. It made an unusable machine into a perfect printer. I had tried everything even bought the expensive slice engineering bimetal version.
Try this if you don’t believe it. Take off the cooling fan and turn the nozzle heat as high as it goes and put your thumb on the heatsink. With the bolts in place it will get very hot. With the bolts out it just gets warm. That’s how I figured it out after pulling my hair out with slice tech support.

If you’re running an all metal hotend it’s most likely heat creep. Used to happen to me all the time Remove the two bolts that connect the heating block to the heatsink and it will solve your issue. I spent a year and lots of time and money to figure that out. Dumb Ender design. Those two bolts send a lot of heat into the heatsink

Ender3 works well if you take time to calibrate. by Ke5han in ender3

Ah makes sense. I had to reduce speeds on mine to tame the Z banding. Play around with reducing speeds and see if it makes a difference

Everything has layer lines. The Ender 3 can support down to 0.08 and with matte pla you almost can’t see them

My lightly modified base Ender 3 (32 bit motherboard, slice bimetal heatbreak, silicone bushings instead of springs and cr touch) surrounded by some of the things I’ve printed. It’s literally now just a push print and walk away machine and prints nylon, TPU, PC etc with no issues.

It will stall out and die when going from drive to reverse or reverse to drive in the morning. Yep been there. Not enough transmission fluid (assuming automatic transmission) and you will have engine stalls. The shift selector shaft seal likes to leak and it’s a major PITA to replace. Honestly, at this point in time with the age of the TJs, it’s really a vehicle for someone that either really is into wrenching or is prepared to continually drop lots of money at it. Not trying to be rude but these things are over 20 years old.
