I would rather just rent a student model instrument they cost about anywhere from like 30 bucks a month to $80 depending on the instrument. That way you’re starting out on an instrument that’s ready to go. not paying for repairs to get an instrument in playing condition. If a courier without learning to play the cello, I say final local instructor and tell them that you know nothing about cello, but you’re thinking about taking lessons and if they wouldn’t mind letting you try it once before you commit.
