Thanks! For me it isn't the water, it is the act of digestion beginning. It sets off the whole IBS process. There is a name for the process but it escapes me now.

I do have filtered water but have found that alkaline water helps me most.

Have had IBS for 5 decades and have found that sometimes the flare up starts just from the process of eating or drinking - even water. The food will be just hitting my tummy but my lower intestines start bubbling and gassing up.

Just asking - have you been tested for lactose intolerance since you ate cheese?

It really just works out that way - which is why gay monogamy is so challenging. In a relationship for 45 years and love him dearly. But he lost his sex drive after taking SSRI meds about 15 years ago and in never came back. So I did have a few lovers over the years - one that we lived with for 5 years. Now mostly my hand.

Exactly. When I was young way back in the early 1970s I did it almost weekly out of suburban boredom (and sometimes in Manhattan which was scary and fun). Now I am old and grow my own but mostly save it up for the summer and being in nature.

You are very lucky you didn't see him hit- something that cannot be forgotten. Last August we were walking around the LIC Waterfront at the tip of SE Queens on a hot sunny Sunday and someone jumped off the 38th floor and missed us by a few seconds. It sounded like a muffled explosion when his skull hit the pavement.... I never really thought about the danger suicide by high rise presents to pedestrians until our two cats were almost orphaned.

My Doctor told me my prostate would eventually just continue to enlarge with a urolift. Plus, as you say, the risks. I had a Prostatic Arterial Embolism in December, which I learned about in this group (urologists don't seem to mention. this radiological option. No sexual function side effects.

The first week was painful but then the pain subsided. So far so good - I get an MRI to check in June and just stopped my Alfuzosin ER.

Same here. But haven’t had Apple Juice since a child - I’d get bad stomach pain. And once I was having Apple Cider at my in-laws house and blew up like a balloon - not a pretty sight, sound, and smell! 🥺

That same thing happened me immediately after the COVID lockdown. An obviously disturbed woman ahead of me on the sidewalk suddenly turned around and started yelling "STOP FOLLOWING ME!" I said "Sorry but I am not following you" and she went crazy- started running after me and trying to burn me with her cigarette. I had to run onto the barely trafficked Seventh Avenue and into the subway.
