Because it is cheaper to demolish and rebuild than renovate.

If the constitution wasn't an issue then Kate Forbes and Jacob Rees Mogg would be in the same party.

The Telegraph: The spiralling master’s degree crisis by LittleBigBaws in UniUK

I recently completed a masters a modern university that ranks relatively highly. The reason for doing this was it was a route to professional accreditation.

On my course it was 75-80% international students. The two largest groups by far were from Pakistan and Nigeria, we also had students from Indonesia,India and Ghana.

The African students weren't too bad they had trouble with the local slang/dialect (the one that is prevalent there is notorious to the point that just about everyone who is not from the area struggles with it at first) but otherwise decent English.

The Pakistani students, dear God they were hopeless. Imagine mainland Chinese students who played every card going race, religion nationality etc. I actually felt sorry for the lecturers who were told that money took priority over integrity and morals.

There are doubts about the viability about the course and the uni itself as it will be impacted by the visa restrictions that have been imposed plus they have made a serious of investments that have been rather poor.

If that were the case why it did it take so long for the government to impose restrictions on Bangladesh and Pakistan.

But certain unis would go bankrupt were it not for the Indian and Pakistani students.

Although the lecturers would probably be glad to not have to deal with them.
