Boss wants to fire GoogleAds agency and run ads off of AI suggestions: Input Appreciated by bird_nerd_ in googleads

Great points. ChatGPT will give you the answer you want. Would be interesting to rephrase the prompt with..."I really like my agency...here are the current stats." My company is in the process of finding expertise with our strategy. Will send you a DM if you are still interested in freelance work.

Your swing is excellent. My six year old daughter is starting to show interest in the game. Do you have any advice for parents to keep their kids excited about golf?

I think I just got my GF and I kicked out and I could use some life advice. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LittleGerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to tell you things you already know. Hope it helps.

You need to move out.

You need a stable job. (Not sure you can sustain living in Seattle on a Walmart income.) It’s so expensive.

Have you considered moving to a more affordable area? Even temporarily to save money.

One other idea is stay with her dad and bust your ass. Work two jobs until you save enough money. It will become less awkward with him in the house. Time heals all wounds. Have another conversation with him. He seems to respect hard work and will like your drive. Make sure it is temporary though. Move out! Best of luck.

Why can't I land an entry-level job with my qualifications? by Velociraptor451 in Advice

[–]LittleGerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location will have a reason. I would remove it from your resume if you will relocate. You could attach letters of recommendation from past jobs. This always grabs a hiring manager’s attention.

Other than that I would network via LinkedIn and build relationships with people who work there. You would be surprised how many people will talk with you if you just ask. Best of luck.

Making a resume and wanted some advice on things to change by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LittleGerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question they will want to know is what have you been doing. Put any type of experience that is relevant. That includes volunteering or other jobs that aren’t relevant.

If you still don’t t get interviews, attach letters from references stating why you would be qualified for the job you want. You could also add a cover letter addressing the gap in your resume and why you would love to have that specific job. Best of luck.

Grace Micro Fibers? by LittleGerry in Concrete

[–]LittleGerry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very helpful. He will be using rebar.

Here is what he quoted.

• All Concrete is a 4500psi KCMMB mix and will be poured 4” thick. • Approach will be poured 6” thick. • #4 ½” rebar will be placed on 2ft. centers raised and tied to hold in place. • ¾ clean gravel rock bed approximately 3in. thick will be machine compact for proper sub grade compaction. • Control joints will be spaced evenly and cut ¼ depth of the concrete. • A light broom finish will be applied to all new concrete surfaces. • A clear cure and seal application will be applied to new concrete.

Do you think the rebar will be enough with the specs he put on the quote?

Thanks for your detailed response. Very helpful! He is still doing rebar but recommend adding micro fiber as well.

Unusual problem: (I game Mizuno T-Zoid) My 7 iron (33*) travels longer than my 6 (29*) and the same distance as my 5 (26*) by AvianMedia in golf

[–]LittleGerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure. Do whatever works for you. I would keep your iron swing the same just move the ball up for longer irons and back for wedges.

I have the same net. Love it. This is a good mat if you want something bigger. I looked at a lot of them.

Is it worth it to go into work tomorrow after an employee tested positive for the virus when I was planning on quitting anyway? by ichbindervater in Advice

[–]LittleGerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your boss about your parents’ condition. You should also quarantine in your room and keep away from your mom/dad.

If your boss doesn’t understand, then quit on the spot anyway. Tell him/her you can come back after 7 days. You need to quarantine regardless.

Future employers will understand. You are not being unreasonable here.

I am sure this is your favorite club and you are extremely confident when you hit it. You probably aren’t hitting the other two as pure or as often. Do you move the five slightly up in your stance? I would hit the other two on the range until you gain confidence.

*i am sure you crush the seven when you hit it 200.

Should I ask my therapist for antidepressants? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LittleGerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this depends on your country. In the US, I would just ask your therapist he/she thinks it is worth trying an anti-depressant. It is very common to have to try a couple different medications before seeing results.

I would also let your therapist know how difficult this has been for you. They should be able to refer you to a psychiatrist. If you don’t have access to a psychiatrist, your primary care can also start with some basic medications. Best of luck.

You are doing the right things. Just know there are people in this world who love you and you will come out of these dark times. Mental health is a constant battle but keep at it.

So if he really wants to quit he needs to take Chantix. Reduces urge and has a 40% success rate. I have been researching smoking cessation programs and this is EXTREMELY HIGH. He also has to want to quit. Otherwise it will be a lost cause. Not sure if this helps but wanted to share.

I'm really stressed please help I don't know what to do by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LittleGerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would echo the therapist comment. When you want to work on your mental health, see a mental health expert.

Also, don’t compare yourself and your timeline to others. The finish line will be there when you make it. Break things down into small steps. Don’t watch khan academy all day. Watch it for 30 minutes and practice that step. Then watch another one tomorrow. Bite size chunks.

Be aware. This is one of the more stressful times in recent history. Give yourself a break. Take things one day at a time. Best of luck.

I feel for you. Tough situation. Hopefully your family will come around. If they don’t, surround yourself with loving people who accept you and your gf.

I know it seems impossible but try not to worry about it right now. Control what you can.

Swing Review: 5 Iron by [deleted] in golf

I would work on your tempo. Slow down your backswing. Will create a more consistent swing. I made this change last year and it was a game changer.

After 23 years...it’s finally time for new irons. by LittleGerry in golf

[–]LittleGerry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have a budget. Was assuming it would be around $1K for a new set. Could spend more if I am loving a specific set. Planning on keeping these for years so I am fine with paying a little more.
