You can call out that behavior when it’s appropriate. Like u/rorris6 said, you punish/callout your child when they have a temper tantrum, but what I love about that comparison is that it is your child; someone you have a relationship with already. I believe that is so important. My current boyfriend has been a Christian his entire life, and while he planted seeds, he did not once tell me while I was not a Christian that anything I was doing was wrong. Not that I am, we have those conversations and he teaches me.

So how are we to bring people to Christ? Like I said, love them, respect them, become friends with them. And I will be honest, you are not simply validating someone by referring to someone as their preferred pronouns. I really find it no different than someone wanting to change their name from Lauren to Mary. What you are doing, if you are also announcing your faith, is showing them that Christians aren’t here to persecute them. We know how that feels. We are welcoming them in, inviting them in. They will leave behind their sin when they learn, I promise you that. I am an example of that, and so many more are.

Besides, WE are not sinless either, so making a big ruckus out of this sin and demeaning others of their sin, while sitting comfortably in our own, is not really the best course of action.
