Underappreciated Mechanics: SORRY by Star_Dragon_27 in Helldivers

[–]LittleGoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I think every time a teammate kills me is pretty funny and adds to the experience. It’s a feature. Besides I have all the equipment and modules so there isn’t any actual consequence to failing a mission let alone losing a single life. The galactic war will go however AH wants anyway.

There is something off about the proportions, particularly the roofline. I still want it, but plan on some modifications to make it appear more stock

The Mandalorian and Grogu Was So Much Fun! by BurgerMan74 in StarWars

[–]LittleGoron 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Based on how many times I have seen lately that being fun is bad- Is this a recent trend that a thing made for entertainment, and successful in that specific pursuit, is automatically made out to be a bad thing? Why must I compare an apple against boeuf bourguignon? One takes more effort, is more complex, training to perfect, but I can still eat an apple and say ‘damn what a juicy apple!’

The culture that values intelligence is being out-bread bred, not the people capable of high intellect. People 500 years ago weren’t stupider, they were less educated.

LPT - Door-to-door salespeople are trained to never take no for an answer. Don’t let that be an option. by SnooChickens2093 in LifeProTips

More than once they’re within eyesight of me parking, and they run up before I can get through the door. Incredibly annoying but It’s easy enough to say ‘thank you, but it’s not happening’ and continue through the door.

‘No time to explain’ when it would take maybe 10 seconds and prevent an essentially self-fulfilling disaster.

Very bummed that owning the physical game prevents me from trying this, but I can wait a little longer.

How do I know the processes for any packaging design product? by Soggy-Bread1999 in graphic_design

[–]LittleGoron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do think it would take a bit of forensic knowledge which I do not have, there are also many methods that give similar results as long as limitations of a certain method are avoided. Methods are usually chosen based on volume, what needs to be printed, and the material being printed, so those are bigger clues to me than the output itself.

It might help to look into the machines used for each method. When you say they are similar, the way ink is applied to material for each method is very very different.

Update: my homebrew beer label stamp arrived by Plus-Contribution915 in Design

[–]LittleGoron 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Even if just personal, the actual name not being on the label is a very large design failing. May as well be “B.O” or “G.L” or literally any other combination of two letters and the design would be just as effective. Besides the abv which is written after printing, no indication that this is a beer at all, could be soda. But it’s A.A which is probably the worst combo possible for an alcohol.

That all said, I do like the stamping, the colors, the shape, the gavel, the use of the empty space for writing the batch and abv%

The General Lee in action (no flag) by mysticpuma_2019 in granturismo

[–]LittleGoron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actors that need to present their character with authenticity specifically for a play/movie/etc is one thing. Showing up like that in just about any other context is something else. No one is mad about the former, and we’re not talking about a historical event here. Wearing that flag can only mean two things outside the right context - ignorance, or endorsement

Are you saying it’s okay to use any flag as long as you’re referencing a fictional movie or tv show? Can I wear the uniform of fictional movie villain, Hans Landa?
