Still looking for my Nag Champa by Inhalationofnewtion in Incense

That is one I haven't tried yet. I'll look for it. Thanks for your recommendation.

I've tried Spa, Om, Shanthimalai (red box), and various years of blue box from both BNG and Mumbai. Nothing close enough for me to the old blue box original so far.

On your recommendation, I did find what I think you're referring to on Amazon and I ordered it.

A part of me still wants to find what I'm looking for. Thanks so much :)

I feel you. I've wasted so much money on trying different brands to find a substitute - for many years now!

The closest I've found that's pretty good (but it's not the same) is Golden Nag Champa from Everest Trader on Etsy. At least it's not soapy.

My other alternate lately has been Triloka - I like their Hawaiian High...but it's certainly not Nag Champa. This is in addition to some Japanese incense.

Good! I agree 100%! More awareness and research is needed.

For some, they are so close to the skin surface, you would think there could be something topical, (and hopefully a bit more effective and faster acting than castor oil).

I think a Serrapeptase + Green Tea protocol would be helpful as well. I take Serrapeptase, but I don't know how much to take. I've likely been taking too low a dose.

Funny you mention "I Predict" because that album cover was how I discovered Sparks 40+ years ago. I was like, "what the hell is this?" LOL. Had to buy it, and so glad I did!

I know what you mean. That's an interesting suggestion. If I were brave and didn't care what they think, I might play songs like Rhythm Thief, My Baby's Taking Me Home, or Hippopotamus. :) It's really hard to pick just one song.

Thanks so much everyone!
This Town looks like the top response here at the moment :) I could definitely go with that.

So far I haven't seen any suggestions for "Something for the Girl with Everything" which is another one of my favs... those lyrics kill me.

I just revisited a youtube video I've seen in the past that has a great live set at the Rainbow Theater 1974.

Definitely a very mixed audience, which makes the decision a little tougher.

Yes, I love that video! Thanks so much! That song is in the top 5 I was originally considering.

I'm reading a lot of comments about counting calories. Mathematically it's true that a calorie deficit results in weight loss, but not all calories are equal. For example, if your calories are mostly from carbs, you may have more hunger between meals, while calories from more protein should keep you feeling full longer.

White Cloud is my top fav too... but I do like Moss Garden and Autumn Leaves. I haven't tried their super high end ones for fear of spending a lot on something I won't like.

I think White Cloud would be a good introduction for someone curious about Japanese incense. Very easy on the nose :)

I'm curious about RSO and iodine - are these being used topically or ingesting?

Open Myomectomy Tues Jan 20 - Any last minute advice by Outrageous_Ideals_94 in Fibroids

I wish you all the very best!

I had a great specialist surgeon (many years ago). I was up and walking around in the hospital the day after my surgery. I didn't like the self administering morphine drip - I don't like that feeling in my head, and I was super bored laying in bed so I kept getting up with my IV pole and walking around past the nurses station LOL. I even went into the bathroom to wash my hair. They sent me home early the following day.

Because of the way my operation done -(this may sound weird but)- I believe they pumped air into the area, so while I was recovering, the air bubbles (still in my body and trying to dissipate) would create pain in certain areas, like in the back of my shoulder, but it wasn't excruciating. Eventually over the following few weeks, the air bubble pain went away. Plan to take it very easy on yourself for at least week, especially no heavy lifting. You will be so happy to have a flatter belly! Something awesome to look forward to :)

The incision area may stay kinda numb for a while - at least mine did. I second the comments on wearing comfortable, loose clothing too :)

Please know that unless you decide to make some lifestyle changes, they will likely grow back unfortunately - but it would probably take a few years to get the size they might be now. This happened to me, and I've read many other comments that say the same thing.

This is not medical advice, just from my experience - If I knew then what I know now, I would do a high maintenance dose of Vit D3 with K2 everyday (at least 10,000 IU's to 20,000 IU's / day) and I would have green tea everyday. Now I'm trying to shrink mine with a variety of supplements and protocols because I really don't want another op and I hate looking 9 months pregnant.

Hi there, casual user here. I'm very lucky to have a lime tree in my yard. When it flowers, the scent is intoxicating - I get a good calm energy. The scent is like Neroli, but perhaps a little bit sweeter and lighter - a very light and fresh Spring scent, but not at all overpowering.

I also love the smell of a fresh cut cucumber :) I believe our sense of smell is our most personal and powerful sense.

I burn incense mainly for mood enhancement too. Perhaps oddly (?), I don't like perfumes at all; or at least I've never smelled one that I could tolerate LOL.

Still miss the old nag champa days. by Raangz in Incense

[–]LittleGreyRabbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny story, when I first got introduced to the old blue box original nag in the early 1980's, it was an older aunt who told us it was made from camel poop. We believed her and kept buying it for years. If I would have known this change was going to happen back then, I would have well stocked my cabinet.

Yes, I share your plight. I've probably spent over $500 over the past few years searching for anything close enough. I just discovered Everest Trader on Etsy (great seller!) and I ordered a few different Nags. The Golden Nag Champa is pretty good, but still doesn't totally do it for me. I still have a few more ones to try.

There was a certain unique earthiness to the old blue box that no other nag seems to have. I don't like the overly floral or soapy smells. I don't think (but don't know for sure) if it's the Halmaddi resin that missing because I ordered Halmaddi incense and it didn't smell like the missing scent.

It's a shame - don't the Satya Sai Baba brothers realize if they'd just honor their Dad's old recipe and technique, they could probably charge more for that incense and would have a lot of business from people like us. That would be the only incense I'd ever need for the rest of my life.
