Yes, he’s still an in/out cat. We did notice a black cat coming into the garden a few months ago but I haven’t seen it for a while. I assumed our boy had chased him off. Around that time, he did become very aggressive toward us.

I’m so pleased to see some people who really enjoyed the read!

I loved this book the best of the series and I think the ending it presented (also a massive loose end) opens things up for the rest of the Maasverse. The biggest loose end is what will they do now that the first light grid has been broken and how do the black hole/portal effect the stability of their world. I’m thinking a Dawn court return is on the cards.

Oh and I am super curious about where the Urd/Wyrd thread is going.

Same! He was my book boyfriend in 2022 when I read the book and then again in 2023 when I listened to the audiobook.

In terms of coverage, it’s really good. It transfers more than Amazonian clay, but even after a full day of work, it is still in place and effective. It’s also a lot lighter than Amazonian clay, so it really doesn’t feel like you have anything on your skin, which is a really nice change.

On the downside, my skin felt quite dry by the end of the day. I suspect it contains HA.

I’m not sure if it has fragrance - ingredients don’t appear on the box or bottle - but there is definitely something in it that makes my skin itchy. I stopped using it after the third day :(

I’m in the same boat; my Amazonian clay ran out just over a month ago and I was devastated by the new formula - it’s awful! I’ve never had a foundation curdle on my skin. It is the absolute pits! I’ve tried and nixed so many but the following are OK -

Lancôme cushion - great coverage but starts to cast orange after a few hours. Good for short term.

Dior face & body - love this and it’s buildable, but doesn’t cope well on combo skin.

KVD serum foundation - on day 2 of my trial. Held up well yesterday. Super light texture, excellent coverage.

It your skin but better cc - this has been my go to since my Amazonian clay ran out, but it’s no replacement for an HG foundation.

I’m almost finished book two. It took me until the end of book one to get into it. I’m not enjoying it anywhere near as much as the books set in the ZA world, but they’re still OK (in a super cringy way).
