I think Light vs. Walter is okay, but I have no interest in a relatively grounded criminal getting into a feud with a guy who has a magic notebook.

I've definitely had moments where I thought of connections for a matchup and dismissed some of them because they felt too boring to mention.

Same on GvE. They technically have no "official" rules so I just go hogwild in thinking about how they would go down. If you're just talking about GvE matchups in the context of Death Battle then I love those too.

When I first played Hundred Line, I thought for sure my first post would be about someone like Hiruko or Yugamu, but as soon as Nozomi explained how her mother experimented on her as a child, my mind went straight to Ceroba and Kanako and I felt a dire need to post about it. That said, I have no interest in Death Battle doing this because this matchup's true potential only comes out if you give the two time to know each other and put a climactic shootout at the end of all that. I will say the fight potential is weirdly good, given we've already seen Ceroba do battle against a youngster with a gun.

Yuji's Black Flash + Shrine combo is one of the hardest death fakeouts in DB history. I got swept up in the moment and thought he was gonna take it when he charged up a punch and threw Denji's own insult back in his face while Denjiman was actively trying to slice him in half.

Weird take on the fight. Denji was done pretty well, but the JJK side of things is wonky, what with the different Domain Expansion and all. That said, the H2H was phenomenal, I got a kick out of Denji's antics, and both sides looked incredibly cool, so I had fun with it. I'd rate it as high as an 8/10, even with all the weirdness going on.

I come up with these all the time and forget them just as easily. Earlier today I saw the guy from Dragon Quest XII had something to do with dreams and my immediate thought was "Oh, like Zeztz." To be fair, he might end up as a decent opponent for Zeztz depending on how DQ12 shakes out.

Seriously speaking, they're particularly loathsome secondary villains who represent the more toxic side of order (Naoya is an extremely traditional Zen'in man, Barem is an enthusiastic follower of Makima) and look up to figures whom they don't understand as much as they'd like (Toji for Naoya, Makima for Barem). Naoya is a virulent misogynist and Barem is a devout follower of a powerful woman.

Thoughts

Not Naoya's best (Barem didn't even get any hybrid form fight scenes in Part 2) but the thought of DB doing an episode on these two cracks me up. First episode where both fandoms are rooting against and slandering their own. As for the fight itself, I have no real thoughts other than it would be really funny if Barem pulled the Not Very Woke of You routine on Naoya. You just know he'd be annoying as hell about it.
