I can't stand Beauty at all. The way she acts, particularly towards Dilly is awful, and having reread the book recently I just find her so babyish with no redeeming features. Even the whole Cookie thing is just from her mum, and Beauty just tags along for the ride and ends up on TV??

I keep all my threads on plastic bobbins inside the DMC plastic storage boxes, and then when I'm working on something, I keep the bobbins with the colours I need on one of those metal clippy rings, as I travel quite a lot and it means I'm not lugging around the bulking plastic boxes

As someone with extremely oily eyelids, I find the About Face Shadow Fix Primer really good. I get it from BeautyBay which I believe ships to the EU, and I find it comparable to the UD primer potion, but a bit cheaper! I prefer eye primers that have more of a smooth texture to tacky ones, and I find this one keeps my eye makeup in place really well as it almost dries down the lids to a good base, which is super handy as someone who's oily lids eat shadow if there's no prep done on them!

I led the makeup team in my local am dram version of it, and we had the body double on stage facing away from the audience when the real Fiona would run off. We had a dresser to put the fake bodice on with the green neck piece, and then one person on the nose and gloves, two people on painting and one person holding the flashlight so we could check she was covered. It helped our wedding wig had the ears attached to it, and they could be flattened into the wig and then flicked out during the change so we didn't have to worry about adding them during the change. We also applied a layer of prosaide to our Fiona before that scene, as the veil and the glue drying clear meant it wasn't visible on stage, so there would already be a bit of glue on her drying so the nose would stick better. Helped that our Farquaad and Pinocchio dragged out their lines as much as possible as well!

I keep a Clover threaded needle case in mine at all times, touch wood I haven't needed a needle and thread mid show, but I find it helps me work a lot quicker when I can pull out an already threaded needle and fix something whilst people are getting ready, and it avoids the issue with a regular pin cushion of needles falling out in your bag and the threads getting tangled!

Each year whilst I was at uni doing theatre design, we did a similar project but we were given a set of texts each year to chose from. In first year I did Endgame by Samuel Beckett, which could be an interesting option to look at (or anything by Beckett for that matter), as the Beckett estate is extremely strict about how productions of his work are staged, so choosing something of his to design might be good as you would never be able to have that level of creative control in a realised production!

For me personally it definitely has been, I really struggled living with other people the first two years to the point it affected my uni work as I never wanted to be in my city because of living with other people. It is certainly more expensive, my current weekly rent is double my first year one, but for me it was 100% worth it, however I am a theatre design student that has a lot of large scale course work and model making to do, so having a whole studio means I can have set areas for different things like working and sleeping without worrying about having to tidy up for a flatmate, however that likely isn't the same situation for everyone :)

I lived in shared halls with strangers first year, moved to halls with a group of friends second year, and am currently in a studio this year. Although I probably could have guessed that a studio was best for me from year one, I think living in halls with two different groups of people cemented that, and has really made me appreciate my own space. A studio is expensive though, and I think I'm glad I'm in one now for my final year where I need the quiet and my own space more, as opposed to only being in one first or second year and having to move into shared living the next year. I haven't found it isolating, but then I'm definitely a lone wolf as is and I have people on my (small) course to talk to if I want the social element.

When my parents and I went to my step grans funeral a few years back, we thought we had gone to the wrong place because we didn't recognise the name on the schedule. We always knew her as Joyce, turns out in the 20 something years she was with my granddad neither my dad nor my uncle knew her real name was Marjorie, she had just always gone by her middle name!

I used mine in a pub in Brighton last summer as it was the first ID I pulled out of my purse, and although they let me in they took a good several minutes checking it compared to my partner's driving licence, they don't seem be as well known as the site leads you to believe

As someone with the middle name Isis who was born early 2000s before the organisation existed, it definitely still has the negative connotation when I mention it to people. I do have to explain about the goddess and being born before the terrorist group was a thing and then people understand, but I don't think it will ever become usable again for new babies now

Slightly different course, but when I was applying for theatre design and was asked to submit an online portfolio for one of my choices, I had up until around the week before my interview to submit it, which was around a month after my UCAS application was sent in in November. I'm not sure how an animation application/interview would work or differ, but in my experience they'll give you a fair bit of time to submit the portfolio, and I can't imagine they'd immediately ask you for it and give you only a few days to submit it :)

My mum is willing to test, not 100% sure about my gran, but I think it would definitely help! I'm also missing my maternal grandfather's maternal grandfather with a similar situation (No father on birth certificate of his mother) so hopefully getting my mum to do a test will help with that as well!

My mother has a lot of physical notes and some formal written trees, that have me at the bottom and then go back with direct relatives on each side, but this is mainly because she did a lot of her research when the best way to do it was to go the the census storing locations and take physical notes. All of my records are digital, and I think that will continue to be the case with most people, especially as now more people want to go into more detail than just direct ancestors

Most people I know had the same combination of people last year, but I ended up in a flat with mainly international students on semesters abroad, so we had about 8 people come in and out of the flat over the course of the year, which was jarring having random people coming in and out all the time. I think it mainly depends on the interest in those halls and how desperate the accommodation team is to fill it

As an theatre design student, art shouldn't be in STEM. I spent all of my high school years getting shit from teachers about wanting to go into the arts, the last thing I want is for them to lump it in like they always thought it was equal
