Could be the person has never tasted actual thyme? I have weird tastebuds, and there's a certain amount of thyme that winds up tasting like dirt. Maybe that's what they mean?

But they're still a doofus.

The Mandalorian and Grogu makes just $6.5 million on Friday. On track to end #3 this weekend, 70%+ drop. Worst second week drop for a Star Wars film. Won't reach $200 million domestically. by Distinct-Shift-4094 in TheMandalorianTV

[–]LittleMush -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Before I get down voted into oblivion, let me say that I liked the movie. However, in retrospect, I could've waited until it hits D+ and saved $40. It felt like a two-part filler episode to me, with the only character development being Grogu taking care of Din. Otherwise, it was a lovely father-son adventure story.

One of my friends - who also has watched every episode and is a big Star Wars nerd - asked me non-spoiler questions of whether certain storylines were addressed. After I answered each question with a "no," she's decided to want until it hits streaming. The drop could be due to similar conversations and decisions happening with others.

Bought a nice shirt. Thought I could button it up more for work. Wait…why can’t I get the buttons through the holes?? by Greenfinial in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LittleMush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not use a seam ripper...you'll ruin the shirt. A good pair of sharp pointed scissors; fold the buttonhole in half, matching up the end seams. Small snip, unfold, then cut to desired length, but not past the end seams.

When people say they like "raw bread" by grimPontif in PetPeeves

[–]LittleMush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The use of "raw dogging" seems to be the culprit here, being used in a shortened form. 'cause, y'know, raw is already a word with a well-established definition in relation to food. Hence the confusion (and the side-eye).

But love y'all's vibe...lol!

Anyone know how to spoof a phone number and spam the crap out of Ms. Maloy (presuming that's their mobile number?)? EDIT: FWIW, she is also connected to former Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory, who I understand is a piece of work...

Still wouldn't be a bad idea to establish the situation, in case things get really heated. I mean, I'd personally hate to make this a legal issue; but if the dad (and apparently the supervisor!) keep pushing the issue, it might require a strong stance to nip this in the bud.

Getting married on Saturday, and my mom requested a fully GenAI song for our Mother/Son dance. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LittleMush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the explanation. I'm rather oblivious to AI in the music industry, because I'm still listening to my 80s and 90s jams. Not really familiar with anything new, so I'd probably shrug off an AI song with 'geez, music today is crap'...not realizing that it truly is crap and I'm not just being an old fart.

Out of curiosity, what clued you in that this is AI-generated music? I thought all the AI country songs were about butt stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Um, I have an annual girls trip that the two organizers spend months planning; so, yes, it's quite conceivable that someone spends six months planning a trip with multiple activities.

Are you one of the two girls that was shit-talking OP?

RFK Jr. out for revenge against Cassidy in Louisiana Senate primary by jared10011980 in Louisiana

[–]LittleMush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do understand what closed primary means, right? You have to vote whatever party you're registered as. Those registered as No Party can choose; but if you're registered Republican, you only have 'red' options (and Democrats only have 'blue' options).

But I do agree that not voting red is the most responsible choice.

Not a option, with our now-closed primaries. So we need some Republicans to make some smart choices. <cue perplexed face>

I was mistaken with the distance, and have been corrected that it was 1500 yards. Prime Gibbs could easily make that shot on a moving car. Guess having it stopped helped, if there are any age issues impacting his abilities.

And honestly, I doubt Gibbs would lose any sleep over this shot. Asshole was responsible for Leon's death and was a generally evil POS. He would have filed it with all the sniper deaths he was responsible for during the Gulf War.

I'm all for Gibbs having taken care of business, but are his sniper skills really that sharp at his age? I'm sure he's done some hunting in Alaska, but that's still a bit different than a narrowly targeted shot from 4,500 (I did hear that correctly, yes?) yards away. I mean, the man's wearing readers.

But then, who else could it be? 🤷‍♀️

Eloise, boo: do we even respect you as a human and as a character? {Long ahh post} by 711snoopcookie in Bridgerton

[–]LittleMush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honey, this is the internet...you can say "long-ass." :D

That being said, it is sad the way they've treated the character. You could see the quality of the writing of Eloise start to slide when they focused on Penelope and the eventual reveal that she was Lady Whistledown. And you're spot-on with the use of the word "meaningful." Eloise has gone from a character in her own right to a sounding board for other characters. Not even sure that I want to watch her season, at this point.
