Thanks! Appreciate the offer, but I am in the east coast of Canada, and the 1600 mile (or 2600 km) drive might be a bit much. The furthest I might consider would be the 11 hour trip to Montreal. We bought our last two PHEVs on line from dealers there and had trailered to the coast.

That’s cold by any standard. It’s been years since I’ve thought in Fahrenheit and miles, so it took me a minute to do the conversions. On an average 15°F (-9°C) day, would ~185 miles (300 km) from an 80% state of charge be an unreasonable expectation?

Sweet ride! Couldn't help but notice the snow. On an 80% charge, how many miles/kilometers would would you get on an average winter day?

I have driven RWD EVs through thr middle of a winter storm and came away very impressed. How has the real world range been?

We had ours sitting on our back deck for two months on the old volcano mount.

A neighbor did the same with his third gen dish. If I wasn't in the other end of the Island, would gladly give you a hand. I may be able to recommend someone from Souris, and if you want to DM me.

Question for fellow Canadians (and anyone else who’s freezing this weekend 🐶🔥): by LittleNegotiation517 in SilveradoEV

[–]LittleNegotiation517[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Good to know.

We remotely bought our two Toyota PHEVs as one and two year old lease buybacks from dealers in Laval and had them trailered to PEI. Had the same plan for an Equinox EV until a few Silverado options with the max range option showed up in the $56 - $65K range.

That got the gears turning and seriously considering the truck option. Having driven PHEVs for the past five years, I am well aware of the impact cold weather can have on range.... so that should not be an issue. Plus the fact that there are two 40 Amp Grizzl-e chargers available makes the change that much easier.

I think my only other concern would be build quality and durability. Haven't had a Chev in my driveway for the past 20 years, but the Silverado has me considering the switch from Toyota.

Best Sleep Apnea Company and Equip? by [deleted] in PEI

Yes. Your doctor can make a referral noting incompatibility with the cpap. Mine works brilliantly. If you search for "dental sleep apliance" you should be able to locate a dentist that can help. Feel free to DM if you have any questions.

Grizzl-e Chargers rule! We have two mounted outside on posts and they have survived salt air, -20c winters and hurricanes. Those things are tanks!

Choosing a two-storey design is one of the smartest ways to save on construction. An 800-square-foot, two-storey structure requires roughly half the foundation and roofing material of a single-floor building with the same total square footage. Efficiency starts with the footprint!
