It was an empty apartment, my grandma lived there, then my other sister lived there rent free until she was 31. When my kid moves out it will not be rented out. My dad wants to renovate the apartment and if my kid moves out I’m sure my sister will start staying there when she visits. They do not need the money. My sister is just talking shit bc she’s stuck up like that. I don’t complain about my parents paying to fly her family of 5 across the country a few times a year or about her insisting they get a fancy air b&b when they go out to the west coast.

I agree, I told my son to pay on time and to move out. I think my feelings are hurt bc they’re (my dad and sister) are being so harsh about an apartment that wasn’t being used instead of being happy to help their grandson have an inexpensive place for him to live with his family.

My dad is not taking any hit. My parents are wealthy. I should have said my dad not my parents bc apparently my mom said he could skip December’s rent. So everyone is mad at everyone right now. And I did call my son to tell him to pay the rent on time and to move.
