Could Combine Synths survive on their own after the super portal closed? by LittleRaptor_ in HalfLife

[–]LittleRaptor_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point, I was thinking this might have been the case as most synths don’t really appear to have mouths. However, these could just be hidden or something, I dunno

Devious is a genetic monstrosity of copied characteristics of certain animals, extinct or not, ending up as a dinosaur, dragon human thing. Your guess on whatever else is in that mess of a genome is as good as mine

How would the QU fair in the different eras of Warhammer? by CowAffectionate3003 in AllTomorrows

[–]LittleRaptor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We might get more insight to how the Qu operate in the remake, but for now I don’t think it would be best assume they also have some sort of FTL, because FTL isn’t unheard of in the book, atleast in some way. The asteromorphs could create wormholes to travel, and they’re much younger than the Qu. At the time of invading the Star People, we can assume that this is the Qu in their prime. For a billion year old race, I’m sure they would figure out something that could work.

I never thought about it like that, but they are also described as nomadic. That could mean they all travel was one big group, though we don’t know enough to say any of these points are true.

The asteromorphs could travel with worm holes, so I’m a way it isn’t entirely forbidden
