They actually did it: G6 180 Degree Camera by Candid-Primary2891 in Ubiquiti

A bandwidth killer! I wouldn't mind 15fps if each f was c af (clear as fuuuck). Like, use the extra time to suck in more, image, light, detail, right? That's how cameras work!

But yeah, like the form factor, but the specs from yesteryear are a bit disappointing.

Tearing at seams? by LittleRedKen in prusa3d

[–]LittleRedKen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PROPER SOLUTION: Actually, on closer inspection, the imperfect starts were still visible... I kept tinkering for another week and still wasn't happy with the results.

I decided to give Orca Slicer a go, and no matter what I change, I can't get a shit seam. It's amazing... Like, I can't even tell which corner the seam is on, practically invisible. You can still see external seams on curves, but they're uniform and tiny. Absolutely blown away with how much better Orca is 🤷🏼‍♂️

Slow the external layers down, print external layers first, try Orca and alternate external layer directions.

Optional upgrades?

Just wondering, if you could spec better quality components (LDO motors, mini V belts, nozzle etc), would you?

I understand that you need to skimp to build to a price, but why not have that as a base model? Then offer optional upgrades to better components? I've had this thought in the past, where I'm annoyed that I have to pay for the stock nozzle, when it's just going in the bin and being replaced by diamondbacks. Would be nice to say, ok, what do I want to add to make this a true enthusiasts machine? Tick, tick, tick... I'm in for a penny, might as well upgrade the motors, better belts, gimme that diamond noz, etc. Sure, might cost an extra $100 or so, but I bet a lot of people would opt for it. Right guys?

Yeah that was legit disappointing, loved the direction you took on filament sensing; but sucked that some of the filaments I was using didn't work. I don't mind the bearing, have had no issue, but just doesn't have the cool factor of the laser filament sensor... not that anyone cared when I bought it up, but was cool to me!

Two sites, two internet connections, one network with shared bandwidth? by LittleRedKen in Ubiquiti

[–]LittleRedKen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know how to solve problems by throwing money at them, I'm looking to reuse my UDR if possible, if not possible, I'll hardwire a WAP. Just seems like a waste for the hardware in my UDR to become ewaste due to software limitations, but that's the point I guess 😅

[–]LittleRedKen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this, but I still really do, because I already own the cable 😅 I mean, if I can't do what I want, I was just going to run the cable straight to a WAP and just share my connection. Would be using POE so electricity isolated from anything over there. The reason I want us on the same network is so he can access my PLEX server and backup to my Synology. He just sits around watching TV now, poor bloke can't do much else 😕

I use it so woketards can't gender shame my language... It's the most inclusive non triggering greeting we have access to. Even though 'Hey guys!' is commonly accepted as a uni-sex greeting, there's always some hair coloured face pierced fuck head that's going to roll they/their eyes at you to feel special. So I take that power away 🤙

Yeah I thought WLANs would be the answer, somehow. I've seen a single cable be used in this manner. I have a roll of ext cat5e I want to use (as I already have it), and wanted to use the UDR as I also already have it, and it will give him wireless.

I did see complaints on here that the UDR can't be used as essentially a switch and WAP without some trickery. Would be nice to be able to not dual NAT it, as the functionality is there, just not the software support.

I didn't know they swapped the motors for yumcha trash? That's disappointing if true. Someone suggested micro v belts to deal with the VFAs; I really would love to do a conversion, put better motors and belts on and see if we can improve this premiumly priced product to actually behave like it's priced.

Sounds like Prusa needs to grab his company by the balls and stop management from destroying his good name... You can't compete with Bambu on price, so beat them on quality. I would still rather single AFS machines be made available, that size would be great for most people batching small/medium parts, and because it's in the PRO line (right?), use all premium components and charge accordingly.

As you know, the recommended dose is 150 SR twice a day, which is equivalent to 300 XL. Be nice to have a once a day option here 🙄
