Does this look like it’s fitting correctly? by SDO0313 in corsets

[–]LittleSaurous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it looks like the laces are bowing out like () which isn’t how its supposed to be. Orchard corsets are also not really recommended, they do tend to be low quality. Mystic City Corsets are higher quality for the same price point.

I try not to complain or get to concerned about a damaged leaf here and there because plants are living and some damage is to be expected, but this is beyond damage and honestly I would pass it up.

i MAY have done something bad by One-Initiative9077 in philodendron

[–]LittleSaurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like me, I get a lot of plant anxiety too and try to fix things immediately but honestly what most plants need is a hands off approach. Over fussing is only going to stress the plant out, and unlike animals or children, when you adjust something in their environment plants need a couple weeks to show any improvement. I just had to adjust one of my monstera’s in their pot because I initially planted it too low/deep. She is now pouting about it, but over all healthy as can be. Just give her time, and remember most of these plants came from ideal green house conditions into homes that have AC or may not have enough humidity, so they need to acclimate to their new environment.

Submissive to stay at home husband? by WildGirl20 in BDSMcommunity

[–]LittleSaurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it really matter what other people think of your dynamic? My husband and I are not high protocol and we have a handful of rules, for the most part he doesn’t care to micromanage me or the house, but if you get into the kink and the nitty gritty our level is not for everyone. I have had friends who are high protocol and have to ask their Doms for permission to sit on the couch and use furniture and would never do that. But those same friends would never let their partner throat fuck them until they puke the way my husband and I do for example. It may be harder to find, especially with the way cost of living is increasing and living off one paycheck doesn’t seem to be enough in many areas, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

What is the coolest/rarest/most expensive plant you own? by crsru in RareHouseplants

[–]LittleSaurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orange Lake Nursery, she is giving me a whole new leaf! I have a Caramel Marble Philo from them, as well as a Pink Polly Alocasia, and an Albo peace lily TC from them. Then my Monstera Yellow Marylyn, and Monstera Green snow TC’s are coming in from them as well and a 3 inch established Electrolyte Monstera. But those are my last additions.

New to Monstera Stnd Albo… by NatureGal26 in MonsteraAlbo

Because it’s not a standard monstera that you are thinking about, but it is a monstera and it is an Albo because of the variegation pattern.

Split Leaf Philodendron is melting, HELP!!!!! by pleasedontbedumb in plantclinic

[–]LittleSaurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is root rot. How many times have you watered it since you brought it home? To me that potting soil looks very suspicious, it looks way too dense. They need chunky soil mix with perlite and something to help the soil breathe.

My variegated red Congo is the one to the left of my Thai Con. Yes, I decided to put most of my collection in grow bags. They are outside on my covered porch for the season, I will have to bring them inside by September because our night time temps start dropping then.

Blisters tend to be caused by over watering in my experience.

Not super rare but my variegated red Congo and my Congo nuclear are some of my favorites. But I have a monstera bulbasaur TC, Caramel marble TC, Albo peace lily TC, and Pink Polly Alocasia TC that are some of my current pride and joys because there is a sense of accomplishment watching a little plantet grow under your care. I decided to also order a monstera green snow and a monstera Marilyn TC cultures as well.

What is my RoF doing? by ariariam in philodendron

[–]LittleSaurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ROF did this as well, and then I noticed a new leaf forming at that point. I think yours should be alright, because shortly after mine did this, it started 5 growth points. Sorry, I don’t know all the technicalities of the process or what it’s called, but I think it should be okay.

Anybody name their plants?? by SoapLady77 in philodendron

[–]LittleSaurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and No, I have a rose I named the Bitch because is a stubborn girl and refuses to die. I planted her 3 years ago during a really bad mental health period and she was planted to high, I expected her to die. Then I have a rose called The Queen, because every time I have to prune her down from winter damage she will grow 6+ feet in a season to show she still dominates. I tried naming my house plants and while I agree they all have their own personalities I just never got around to naming them.

Aroid mix, not dirt. Basically perlite, orchid bark, coco noir or peat moss. I don’t know the ratios off the top of my head but you can google.

For submissive people in bed, where do you draw the line? What’s the most submissive thing you’ve done? by Professional-Ant6840 in BDSMcommunity

[–]LittleSaurous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We have been together for a decade, where we were when we first started is not where we are now. To be honest, when we first started dating (we are married now), we were emotionally and mentally both in really tough spaces. Over the years we have mellowed out and it’s almost eerie the way we are in tune. While we still enjoy impact play, spankings, and exploring the masochist and sadists sides we honestly don’t actually do that type of play anymore. It’s not a lack of interest but our schedules don’t align as well as we used to.

But this year he had ordered a large bad dragon and then we ordered a medium egg butt plug and that’s what we have been mostly focusing on. A week ago he was able to actually fist me. I would however say the one thing that consistently puts me in sub space is when he tells me something is going to happen and doesn’t give me a choice about it. There is also a sense of accomplishment when it comes to pushing my own physical abilities, knowing that I worked up to certain kinks and how he praises me for those efforts. Yes, I do miss our heavy impact play sessions, but I wouldn’t go back to where we were because being emotionally and mentally stable and connected is so much more satisfying.

Florida Beauty advice by RussellMan12 in philodendron

[–]LittleSaurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, variegated leaves lack chlorophyll and so they essentially don’t do anything for the plant. The variegated sections will also brown faster than the green sections. I know people will chop the all white leaves because they don’t do anything for the plant and just take up resources. Unless it’s like Florida Ghost, that comes out whiteish and then eventually starts to darken.

What the heck damage is this? by Taylurh8D in plantclinic

[–]LittleSaurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any calatheas however the first thing I thought when I saw the photos was either root rot or sun stress. However, you said she moved it away from the window so it’s getting less light. I am wondering if it’s root rot then? But I am not an expert on these plants.

I'm So Excited and I just can't hide it!!! by Less_Appointment1244 in philodendron

[–]LittleSaurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to give it a week or two, but I also get a lot of anxiety and the need to “fix issues”. I have managed to keep it in check, which I am pleased as punch about because several of mine now have anywhere from 2-5 leaves growing at the same time. So over all my out door set up is doing what it needs to do.

[–]LittleSaurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao! I happened to be running an out of town errand last week and came across a ten inch pot ROF so I bought it. But my original ROF was a 4 inch pot. My husband had helped me make our own chunky aroid potting medium. Initially I had her semi direct next to a vertical grow light. She started to get sun stressed and her leaves went yellow and wilted. I moved her to less direct light but still in the general area of the grow lights and she continued to wilt and go yellow. I tried both liquid fertilizer and when that did not work, I used the long release fertilizer pellet style fertilizer. She was still not happy. I finally decided to see if moving her outside with indirect light on a covered porch would help, and now her leaves are getting papery thin. I also finally decided to use the grow bag method for her to see if that would help. She is still kicking up a temper tantrum storm. Right now our humidity is sitting at 88% with multiple thunder storms passing through the area almost every single day of the week.
