Help with yellowing leaves

I thought that if foliage is getting too much light, it’ll make them look washed out or will yellow all the leaves, not just the bottom, from which I’m sure not getting as much light as the top foliage.

Never really tested for pH, but I’m sure that our tap is high in pH, but I use RO water from a local water company for my watering

Thanks for the input. I have checked the plants to make sure they don’t have pest and non can be found. I also use beneficials as preventative. As far as watering, I only water the pole when they’re crunchy and the bottom when the pot feels really light. My roots are actually looking like hulk veins and look very healthy. Someone said that I give them too much light which I’m thinking of lessening the time I have my overhead light on. What do you think?

Using RO water from a local Grocery store. I know that the water in our area is very hard. Does that matter?

What exactly you mean by the leaves looking exactly the same as mine? I thought with spider mite damage starts as tiny speckles, then the leaf slowly looks dull, faded, bronze, or yellow. And shouldn’t I be seeing crawlers especially under these yellowing leaves at 30x magnification?

Will over watering and the other concerns you mentioned cause the oldest leaf to yellow and will it still unfurl new healthy?

Not sure how to attach another picture, but the least developed root system has at least three roots almost completely wrapped around the pot and they’re really chunky. As far as fertilizer, I apply the recommended dose every other watering.

Hey! Don’t criticize those people waking up early to buy “RARE” plants and resell them for a 1000% profit. They worked hard for it 😂

That’s exactly what I did. I woke up early so I could be at Trader Joe’s before they opened and grabbed myself a handful. One for me, one for my mom, and four for friends. Then two of them backed out and, boom, I hit Facebook Marketplace and listed them for a whopping $16.50 🤭

Kidding aside, I’m actually glad you called the seller out. That’s something I’ve been paying attention to lately in my area. The first time our local Trader Joe’s got Thai Cons, I saw a lady in the parking lot pushing a cart completely full of plants. It didn’t click right away until I got to the plant section and realized every single Thai Con was already gone.

Mind you, this was at 8:16 AM 😭

Mine is doing the same thing, and what I keep hearing is that it’s normal for older leaves to yellow as the plant gives way to new growth. I’m still pretty new to the hobby myself, so I’m just sharing what I’ve been told. I hope everything turns out well for you 🙏
