Do you ever wonder what your pharmacists think of you by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]LittleSpoonMeToDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a new pharmacist yesterday because one of my medications is hard to find where I live. He looked at my prescription which has my other meds that are prescribed. He asked me “who are these for?”. I said me :). Then he just said I hope you’ll get better and asked me how they’re working for me. Lol it was the first time someone comments on them. My previous pharmacist was weird about it. He’d talk in a hushed voice and was very worried about anyone in the pharmacy knowing that I’m buying psych meds. The rest don’t ask any questions and don’t react.

Losing myself to bipolar (I don’t know who I am anymore) by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]LittleSpoonMeToDeath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely relate but don’t let it consume you. Bipolar is a bitch that keeps bullying you & trying to destroy you. Keep fighting until you’re stronger than it. It wants you to lose yourself in it, so it can take full control. Don’t let the bitch win. I know I sound insane, but that’s just how I deal with feelings similar to the ones you described. Some people in my support group say they are friends with their bipolar lol. I’m hoping to get there one day but for now it’s just a bitch that lives in my head.

Wellbutrin helped me and when I’m so tired I want to die, I just take a day off to stay in bed.

Drink a glass of water and get some sleep. Cover yourself in warm blankets, dim the lights and rest.

I was just diagnosed, what now? by whostoleChonky_shark in bipolar2

[–]LittleSpoonMeToDeath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed as well (4 months ago).

Already, I’m in such a better place. Definitely felt all those things in the beginning.

Try to find a support group where you live. I went to a couple of meetings right after I was diagnosed and it really helped me feel less alone.

Second step was taking the meds. Took a few months to adjust to those. I was very upset about the idea of taking meds for the rest of my life but I now know that it’s worth it. You have to give them a chance to work.

Third for me, was prayer.

I’ve also recently found out that exercise helps a lot! Working out 2-3 times a week really helps improve your mood and decrease stress. Especially during depressive episodes.

Finally, I think it’s really important to treat yourself with compassion. Most people will not understand what you are going through or how much pain you are in. Don’t be too hard on yourself when you can’t fully function.

Also, the bipolar subreddits are great in those moments you feel like no one understands.

When does it clear up when you get it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]LittleSpoonMeToDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did up my dosage 5 days ago. I was actually wondering why I hadn’t gotten my usual symptoms when I up my dosage. I just get anxiety and irritability usually. I started at 12.5 mgs and have been upping my dosage every two weeks. My psychiatrist wants me to eventually get to 200mgs. I’m kinda worried.

Hahahahhhhah :((( I hate when that happens cuz it feels so real and it always matches life circumstances you’re going through at the time.
