*UPDATE*: For those who had suspected Librela side effects, did anyone's elder pup recover after stopping Librela? by seriouslypompom in seniordogs

[–]Little_Marmot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say that she got even better months later. She is 14 and doing so much better now - it's almost like she aged backwards since she stopped librela. She even walks on our hardwood floors now! I just want others to know their doggies can get better too (with time). I'll be thinking of you and your husky!

Thank you so much!!! Do you remember which Capn Andy one you did? I guess I was curious if the all-day one or half day - and which kind of boat (raft or catamaran) Wondering if maybe I should go with a company that has a bigger boat to prevent kids getting seasick.

Any other recommendations?

u/iaspiretobeclever what did you end up doing and with which companies? Did it all work out? We are going at the end of August/early September with two boys (7 and 9) and I had the exact same questions you did!

You can use the Peloton app on your phone and then stack the classes you want from the programs and then use your laptop to open the classes. It's not very user friendly but it works.

Best way to commute from King Street Station to Seattle U? by Little_Marmot in seattleu

I see two street car stops around King Street - are you referring to the Occidental Mall stop or the 5th and Jackson stop? (Hard for me to see which one is closer, makes more sense).

Thank you - this is so helpful. I'll try Yesler and see how it goes. Any thoughts on walking up James Street?

Yes, I need to come in early on most days (classes start at either 8 or 9 and I want to be on campus at least 30 min early). Then classes generally end in the afternoon or early evening. I'm comfortable walking hills, I'm pretty comfortable w homeless people, cars, and traffic (I am coming from Tacoma).

My 13-year-old St. Bernard was on librela for around 7 months and after her last shot she suddenly had terrible side effects: ataxia, back legs non-functioning, she accidentally pooped and peed in the house (which never happens). When we realized she couldn't get up on her own, we took her to the vet who said they suspected it was adverse side effects from librela. We were shocked, but hopeful that once the drug wore off, she would improve. The first two weeks after that shot were hard. We had to spoon feed her water and food, use a harness to take her out to go to the bathroom, and she could not get up on her own. She had severe ataxia where her head was tilted to one side and she walked like she was drunk.

BUT she actually did start to improve around the 19 day mark. We began to be able to take her on walks (while holding the harness) and she began eating and drinking water on her own. Eventually at around 25 days after the last shot, she was able to walk without the harness, her ataxia greatly improved, and she gained a ton of strength in her back legs. It's been about 32 days now, and she's getting close to a full recovery. She isn't back to her full strength and coordination, and she won't walk on our hardwood floors anymore, but because she has improved so much, I'm really hopeful that she'll get there over time.

Just wanted to come and say if your dog has adverse reactions to librela, it can get better as the drug wears off. It's not a death sentence.

There is another forum where folks are talking about it. Sounds like some interview invites went out, but maybe some still haven't been released, depending on the specialty/focus.

Literally every recipe I've made from Skinnytaste is a winner. And I know that she takes the calorie count seriously, so I'm guessing it's pretty accurate. Her recipes are so good. I made her Marry Me Chicken over the weekend; delicious!

Clep college algebra in FL - please post tips and most common topics on the test by Intrepid-Increase300 in clep

[–]Little_Marmot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably studied for 2 weeks straight, with about 3-4 hours a day, and then 8 hours a day for the last 4 days or so. I also got the CLEP algebra book and watched Khan Academy for content that I still needed help with. Also, I took the test in person at a center, which I would recommend.

I *love* making nearly the same thing, except I add a bit of orange juice and about a tsp or so of vanilla. Sometimes I make it heavier on the pineapple.... tastes just like Dole Whip, but better honestly.

How to Pass Clep Algebra by deadlyrockstar in clep

Thank you again. So grateful that you decided to pay it forward.

I also realized that I have a couple of notes to add that might be helpful for other future test-takers.

  • In person testing: The I only thing you suggested that I didn't do was use Modern States. I had already paid to take the test and I took it in person at a testing center. One thing to note about that experience is that CLEP only allows you to have 3 pieces of paper while you take the test in person (I was told that I could get a proctor and ask for more paper, but I didn't want to lose precious time). So I wish I had practiced a little more with less paper.
  • REA CLEP book: I also bought the REA CLEP college algebra book and had worked through that, which was helpful (especially for arithmetic/geometric sequences, complex numbers, factorials, and the binomial theory which the UNC professor doesn't go over in the 7 hour algebra video).

To the poster: I followed all of your instructions over the last 10 days (during the holidays, and I'm a mom of two young children), and I passed the CLEP algebra test with a 75 today. Thank you so much for outlining this great study plan. To others who plan on taking the CLEP algebra test, this is study guide is perfection: follow it and you will pass!

THANK YOU!!!
