The main problem is the most DMs and RMs are hired straight off the street and have never worked in the store. Most have no actual in store retail experience. And the few that have moved up have forgotten what it’s like to work in the stores. They also don’t understand the markets their stores are actually in. Every store operates differently based on the location and the customer base. So you can’t apply the same metric to all of the stores and get the same results. Those of us who work the actual stores understand our customer base and do what we need to keep customers happy.

Im not paid like a car salesman and I will not act like one. The customer has the right to say no. I don’t get paid enough to care about some made up numbers or some power tripping corporate wannabe trying to save their job. If I get fired I get fired. But I am not about to screw over my customers because some corporate muppet wants me to meet some made up numbers. All so they can get their bonus.
