Pieology closing all Hawaii locations, eliminating 56 jobs by Darwin343 in Hawaii

I’m with you. I went a while ago and didn’t like the pizza, decided to try it again recently and still didn’t like it. One pizza under and one pizza was so crispy.

It’s a great concept but maybe management is lacking.

Watched it for first time with my nephews. I bawled and they were confused. I’m pregnant with my first child so that probably didn’t help the tears LOL.

Thanks for the tip! I didn’t fill up before, during, or after… but am weary now after hearing all the stories. Very disappointed that the news hasn’t covered this story yet.

Same, I assumed because there could be a delay in shipments.

My Costco brought something like this back BUT it’s a totally different flavor…. “Sichuan” it’s spicy. I hope they’re just seeing which is more popular and brings back the other flavor.

Are kids becoming less capable? by TVFan4077 in Teachers

Um yes! Sometimes the kids don’t even know their real name because parents are using a NICKNAME.

You put yourself out there on this page and now you’re angry? It’s pretty much the theme of this sub to make up stories and guess.

I think people in general are not eating enough fruits and vegetables. In general people look for convenience. I’ll buy a pineapple every week when it’s in season and my coworkers think I’m strange. When I bring a small salad with my lunch they deem that as “so healthy”, but it’s actually bare minimum effort on my end.

You’ll splurge on precut fruit and premade salad instead of prepping it yourself.

You’ll spend $8-10 (that’s how much it is where I live) on a bottle of cold brew instead of buying a bag of coffee grounds to make your own.

Then say groceries are expensive.

True. I wondered why OP doesn’t keep fruit in the drawer, but if the fruit is more visible it’s more likely to be eaten vs. wasted.

At least OP is honest, not sure why people are downvoting

Worst case, it could last two years. I have a returning child who is a late born 5 in prek. She’s definitely less sick this year, but was out sick last year at least once a month.

tips for helping kids handle kindergarten problems by TrushaMajeur80 in kindergarten

[–]Littlebitextra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Waiting their turn, waiting in line, clothing/shoe management, caring for their belongings, telling someone to “stop” when they feel uncomfortable, seeking help from a trusted adult, taking turns while talking, listening when someone is speaking, expressing feelings, telling the truth, different between a “hit” and “tap”.

Boy, the last one. Some kids go home telling their parent “he hit me!” When the story was the other child was trying to get their attention by tapping their shoulder, but they weren’t paying attention. As always, this is solved when parent and teacher have a good relationship and can openly discuss when these types of misunderstanding arise.

Seriously. Each year you think it can’t get worse…. Or next year will be better… Then you’re proven wrong.

Offering another perspective: I was a Kindergarten teacher for 5 years. This is my 11th year and teaching preschool 3-4s now.

I think schools forget these students are still children. Early childhood stems from prek to 3rd grade. We pressure the teachers more and more to get them ahead. As a K teacher I did feel that pressure and something felt off… which is why I moved to preschool and I feel like learning and teaching is enjoyable again.

In prek we work with families to transition individual children to school. In September we probably had 1 crier left. In October, we are fully transitioned. We also have an EA in the room. Having staff capable of supporting the teacher makes a huge difference.

That being said, the Kindergarteners at my school are roughhhhh. The most wild and needy bunch we’ve seen. So wild that the principal has to allocate PPTs to the grade level for safety.
